I guess my generation is in the midst of a digital revolution and the rate at which
the dynamics of the technology is being integrated into the core of operations
irrespective of domains. I feel the digitalization that has happened is like a tip of
the iceberg and I could foresee even more revolutionary changes to take over the
way we live, conduct businesses, and do research. Computer science gradually
evolved to a level of strategic essential domain for any business to sustain, expand,
and flourish. The precision of any activity that is digitalized is very high and this
truly became a motivation for me to become software developer and to play a key
role in developing solutions that will take through us to the next generation.
I realized in the due course of my academic life the pivoting role played by my
parents and primary school education in inculcating the fundamental traits and
values that laid a path for a goal-oriented and purposeful lifestyle. I took a
proactive role in academics, sports, cultural, and social events that were conducted.
My focus on the core academics were reflected by my scores. For my senior
secondary, I took Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry which helped me sharpen
my logical and analytical skills.
My fondness towards computers and software coding was a natural phenomenon
due to my daily usage of the personal computer with an Internet connection to
explore the world of possibilities and for my academic presentations. The turning
point that motivated me to choose Computer Science as a profession was the
swiftness that I showed compared to other peers in the process of learning software
coding during a vacation in a training center.
My focused preparation for Engineering Entrance did get me a seat to pursue
Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering in NBKR Institute of Science
and Technology. This is one of the finest institutions to study engineering which
has a lot of profound heritage for its quality education and producing fine
professionals and especially in Computer Science domain. The faculty team did go
out of their way in sharing a lot of insights along with the regular syllabus.
Optimum use of lab infrastructure made me to bring out the innovative spirit of the
students. A plenty of workshops, seminars, and hackathons were scheduled all
along the four year course where we got the insights on the latest of the
technologies.
My final year project was Prediction Analysis of Covid-19 cases using Machine
Learning. Skill sets executed in this project were HTML, CSS, Flask, and Python.
I have performed a comparative analysis with the prediction model, Linear
Degression Algorithm for predicting different outputs of the respective dataset. I
have developed a model alongside to identify the suitable given algorithms. One
more project we did successfully is a Basic Quiz Application based on Android
Application Development.
I was an Intern in Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation,
Vijayawada. I was involved in the development of a project using Android Studio
which comprises of the Quiz Questions and Displays the performance of the
person which has a friendly UI. I also had an opportunity of an Internship in ML,
Perfect Elearning, Hyderabad.
I have a certification on Python Programming Concepts, Udemy which covered the
basic concepts and data structures of python. I also have a certification on Basic
Concepts of Machine Learning from Perfect Elearning.
I stood state 5th in International Maths Olympiad, IMO in 2014 and a District
Level Rank, SLSTSE in 2012. I am a National Ranker in National Science
Olympiad, NSO.
My skill sets included decent proficiency in programming in C, Java, and Python;
Web Development skills which include HTML and CSS; and a very good
proficiency in MS Office.
Though I got a couple of opportunities to begin my professional career in my
college placement event, my drive towards excelling in the field of computer
science did motivate me to continue my learning process by pursuing Master’s in
Computer Science in USA after a lot of quality exchange of views and online
exploration.
USA was my choice of destination to pursue Master’s as it is a cradle and hub for
Computer Sciences and related innovations. USA has the heritage of welcoming
talent pool from all across the globe and nurtures them to fulfill their dreams. The
academia and industry working in tandem that give students a chance to work as
interns, which help them transform from a student into a fine-tuned professional.
I went through the curriculum and the research works of the faculty at multiple
Universities and this process taught me that Your University offered a good mix.
My main intention behind applying for this University apart from having a very
good curriculum is the relevant internships and research activities. In addition, the
opportunity to study with the peer students from across the globe in your
University will certainly redefine my perception in various aspects. Hence, I am
eagerly waiting to be part of this esteemed amalgamation.
After my Master’s, I would like to return to India to be part of the growing
economy and with such a huge population and its needs; scope and possibilities are
numerous for solutions using Computer Science as ways and means for businesses
to excel and serve their customers in the best possible way and to stay ahead of the
competition.
My long-term goal is to establish a Center of Excellence in my hometown where I
would like to create an ecosystem to facilitate the innovations by the common man
for the problems around him in the remote parts of the country reach its full
commercial potential.
I, therefore, request you to kindly grant a merited consideration to my application
for an opportunity to study Master’s in Computer Science in Your University.
