living in the Twenty-first century
o Art produced at the present period in time, includes and develops
from postmodern art, which is itself a successor to Modern art.

INTEGRATIVE ART  employs the use of different art elements used together in distinct
different expressions.
 It also a fusion of different art disciplines using different styles and
media in creating art.
Example:
the use of computer applications combined with other media, the
use of non-traditional art materials in creating artworks usually
done with mixed art forms

LITERARY ARTS o are an expression of ideas through writing. Literary arts can be
categorized as poetry, prose, and drama. In the Philippines, literary
arts are greatly encountered in literature.

written and sometimes spoken material. Derived from the Latin
word literature meaning "writing formed with letters,"

FINE ARTS o fine arts are artworks that are developed for aesthetics or beauty.
These art forms are primarily created for its appearance and ability
to stimulate the intellect rather than its functional value.
o Drawing, Printmaking, Architecture, Painting, Graphic Art, Sculpture,
Calligraphy
DRAWING a form of visual art in which an artist uses instruments to mark paper or
other two-dimensional surface.
PRINTMAKING an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a
matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric
CALLIGRAHY is the practice of writing with a deliberate and artful style, with a consistency
across letterforms that is not entirely unlike type.
DECORATIVE ARTS these art forms are created because of its aesthetic design and practical use.
Decorative arts are utilitarian in nature - they are both beautiful and
functional.
TEXTILE ART are arts and crafts that use plant, animal, or synthetic fibers to construct
practical or decorative objects.
GLASSWARE objects made of glass, such as bowls, drinking containers, and ornaments.
JEWELRY consists of decorative items worn for personal adornment, such as brooches,
rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and cufflinks.
Assemblage Is an artistic form or medium usually created on a defined substrate that
consists of three-dimensional elements projecting out of or from the
substrate
Collage Describes both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of
paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down
onto a supporting surface.
Installation art Is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that are often site-specific and
designed to transform the perception of a space.
Land Art Also known as earth art, was usually documented in artworks using
photographs and maps which the artist could exhibit in a gallery.
Conceptual Art Is art for which the idea (or concept) behind the work is more important than
the finished art object.
NATIONAL ARTISTS
NATIONAL ARTISTS National Artist is a Filipino who has made a significant contribution to the
development of Philippine arts in the fields of Music, Dance, Theater, Visual
Arts, Literature, Film and Architecture.
The Order of National o The Order of the National Artists Award (Orden ng Gawad
Artist Pambansang Alagad ng Sining) is the highest national recognition
given to Filipino individuals who have made significant contributions
to the development of Philippine arts.
o Under the Proclamation No.1001 dated April 27, 1972 the Order of
the National Artist Award was established
o The Presidential Decree No.28 that was issued on June 7, 1973
reiterated the mandate of CCP to administer the National Awards as
well as the privileges and honors to National Artist

Insignia of the Order of It is formed from a Grand Collar featuring circular links depicting the arts and
the National Artists an eight-pointed sunburst suspended from a sampaguita wreath in green and
white enamel. The center of the badge is divided into three equal portions,
in red, white and blue representing the Philippine Flag with three stylized
letter K’s that stands for the CCP’s motto
“Katotohanan, Kabutihan at Kagandahan”
