    TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

    Applications Lanco Antifloat D-14 can be used in almost all coatings, including solvent
    based, solvent free and water based types.

    Performance Lanco Antifloat D-14 is an antifloating agent for use in solvent based,
    solvent free, water based and high solids coating systems. Since the
    product contains no solvent, it is suitable for general use.

    Lanco Antifloat D-14 displays the following properties:


    • Reduces variations in color tone during tinting
    • Reduces streaking
    • Prevents formation of Bénard cells

    Incorporation Lanco Antifloat D-14 is added to the formulation at the grind stage and is
    dispersed or ground together with the pigments.

    Addition levels An addition level for Lanco Antifloat D-14 of 0.2-0.5%, based on total
    formulation, is in general sufficient to prevent streaking and floating.

    Packaging and storage Lanco Antifloat D-14 is packed in 20 kg paper sacks. Sacks should be
    stored on pallets in enclosed areas. A storage temperature of 30°C should
    not be exceeded. Shelf life: at least 12 months from date of shipment. After
    this, product should be tested before use.
