IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous ELICIT
lesson or  Teacher flash a picture about species extinction
presenting the new  Let the student identify the causes
lesson.
B. Establishing a ENGAGE
purpose for the The teacher will ask the following questions to the students;
lesson.  Do you own a plant in your home? For what?
C. Presenting  What part of this plant give oxygen or fresh air?
examples/instances  What are the things that you can provide to your plants in order to grow
of the new lesson. healthier?
 In return, what plant gives to us?

D. Discussing the new EXPLORE

concepts and Individual Activity
practicing new 1. Unscramble the following letters to form the correct word.
skills #1. a. ATWRE c. HILTG e. UGARS
E. Discussing the new b. OXYENG d. 2OC
concepts and Group Activity
practicing new Grouped themselves at least 10 members regardless of gender but
skills #2. based on their abilities or skills (use of computer and internet).
Students will do activities in different learning stations. (TLE -ICT)
For each station, the student will learn specific concept on
photosynthesis specifically identifying the cell structures involved in
photosynthesis, describing the process of food making done by plants,
and identifying the raw materials and products of photosynthesis.

Note: Encourage collaboration and teamwork by giving specific task or

roles to each member of the group. (interpersonal intelligence may
apply)

Learning Station 1 - Learners will visit the website and identify the
structure of the leaf. (ICT and Literacy) naturalistic intelligence may
apply

Learning Station 2 - Learners will visit the forest biology web and
label the part of chloroplast (ICT and Biology) spatial intelligence may
apply

Learning Station 3 - Learners will visit you tube channel and

extract the raw materials and product of photosynthesis (ICT and
Biology) logical intelligence may apply

Learning Station 4 – Give the equation of photosynthesis after

watching a video clip (ICT and Chemistry) mathematical intelligence
may apply

Learning Station 5 – After watching the video clip on

photosynthesis, make a concept map or summary of the entire process
involved raw materials and products of food making.
(ICT and English-Summarizing) Linguistic intelligence may apply
F. Developing EXPLAIN
mastery 1. Presentation of Outputs (linguistic intelligence may apply)
(Leads to formative
assessment 3).
2. Processing
3. Teacher asks follow-up question to the group presenter/s to further
explain their outputs.
Learning Station 1 - Based on the internal structure of the leaf,
what is the role of stomata?
Learning Station 2 – What is the role of chloroplast?
Learning Station 3 - Based on your result, what are the materials
that needed by plants? How about the materials that needed by human?
Learning Station 4 – If it takes 6 molecules of Carbon Dioxide to
produce 1 molecule of Glucose, how many molecules needed to produce
30 molecules of Glucose?
(Numeracy)
Learning Station 5 – Summarizing the process of photosynthesis.
G. Making ELABORATE
generalization and
abstraction about What is Photosynthesis? Explain the process of photosynthesis?
the lesson. Photosynthesis is a process of food making done plants and other autotrophic
organism. The presence of chlorophyll enables these organisms to make their own
food. Autotrophic organisms require light energy, carbon dioxide (CO2) and water
(H2O) to make food (sugar) and Oxygen.

In which part of plant does photosynthesis takes place?

In plants, photosynthesis mainly takes place in the leaves.

The chemical equation for photosynthesis:

CO2 + H2O sunlight C6 H12 O6 + O2

H. Finding practical Learners will answer this question;

application of Is this plant important?
concepts and skills So, plants are important to us! How it become important to us?
in daily living.
How do you maintain the balanced of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our locality?
(EsP)
Therefore, we need to take good care of our plants for food and oxygen?
