Requirements, If the device is used in an ATEX environment the following


conditions requirements/conditions have to be complied with:
• The device must only be employed according to the marking of
the device.
• Permissible ambient temperature (if there is no other information
on the nameplate) Ta: -20°C ≤ Ta ≤ + 40°C
• The minimum ignition temperature of deposited combustible
dusts (determined according to DIN EN 50281-2-1) has to
exceed the maximum surface temperature (according to the
marking of the device) by at least 75K. The thickness of the dust
layer must not exceed a value of 5 mm.
• The maximum surface temperature (according to the marking of
the device) must not exceed 2/3 of the minimum ignition
temperature of the whirled up dusts (determined according to
DIN EN 50281-2-1).

To be observed additionally for the application in areas with gas


explosion hazard:
• Chargeable plastic parts have a surface resistance Ro < 109Ω.
• Do not convey electrostatically charged dusts (e.g. from a
pneumatic conveyor) through the devices.
• With gases and vapours from the explosion class IIB the
maximum feed rate is 2000 dm³/h.

The construction The TSR is a feeder for the feeding of bulk solids that can be fed by
means of a screw. A characteristic feature of the TSR is the trough-
shaped screw pipe. Due to the construction size of the screw the
screw is born on two points. The product is conveyed via the agitator
trough into the screw, then the screw transports the product to the
outlet. For an improved and more even filling ratio of the screw an
agitator that is rotating vertically, runs in the agitator trough. The
agitator is mounted on one side to the drive shaft. In order to achieve
the required stability the side wall of the agitator trough is reinforced
by means of sheets in this area. Agitator and screw are driven by one
motor each.
