Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

Preliminary Activities
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Attendance
 Classroom Rules
1. Arrive on time
2. Listen and follow instructions
3. Allow one person to speak at a time
4. Raise your right hand and wait to speak
5. Speak politely and use manners
A. Motivation
 The teacher will show picture related to the topic to
be discussed.
 The teacher will ask the following:
1. Are you familiar with this man? Yes ma’am!
2. Who is this man? Sir Isaac Newton
3. Can you give me some of his contributions? He is the father of Modern
Okay! Very good! What else? Physics
He established the Three
Very good! Laws of Motion
B. Activity
But before we proceed in our discussion let us
have a game first. So, this game is called Pantomime.
Class are you familiar with Pantomime? Answers may vary.
Short trivia. Pantomime is the art or technique of
conveying emotions, actions, feelings, etc., by
gestures without speech.
Now, I will divide you into three groups and I need
one representative for each group to choose a phrase
that is written on the card, that you will act through
non-verbal.
The other two groups are given one-minute to
guess the phrase.
Phrase 1: Riding a bus
Phrase 2: Pushing a cart
Phrase 3: Walking on the street
C. Analysis
Based on the activity class.
In phrase number 1.
What principles of motion that describe a person
riding a bus? The person riding on the
bus may feel the bus is at
rest but outside of the car
Okay. You have point! you appear in motion.
How about when a moving bus suddenly stops, what
will happen to the person inside? The person tend to fall
So, why does it happen? forward.
Because due to the
So, what is inertia? inertia ma’am.
Inertia is a tendency of a
body to resist any change
in its condition of uniform
motion.
In phrase number 2.
What principles of motion that describe a person when Pushing a cart will apply
pushing a cart? force on it, since the cart
has a mass, then, it will
accelerate.
Is it possible that the mass affect an object’s motion? Yes, ma’am.
Why do you say so? Because the greater the
mass of the object, the
greater the force needed
to have the change in
In Phrase 3: motion.
What principles of motion that describe a person
walking on the street? When we walk, we exert
force backward on the
ground by pushing the
ground by our foot and
the same reaction force is
exerted by the ground in
forwarding direction and
this makes us able to
move.
So, why does it happen? Because there is an equal
and opposite reaction
Very good class! ma’am.
Now, I will show you the main goal of our topic:
1. Identify the Newton’s law of motion;
2. give the value of the three laws of motion in
everyday living; and
3. create an experiment that will be explained by
the three laws of motion.
D. Abstraction
Now, do you have any idea what is our topic for Yes ma’am. It’s all about
this morning? the Newton’s Three Laws
Let us watch a video presentation that shows of motion ma’am.
some examples of each three laws of motion.
Newton’s First Law of Motion

 An object at rest will remain at

rest, and an object in motion will
remain in motion at constant The students will watch
velocity, unless acted upon by an the video and listen
unbalanced force attentively.

Newton’s Second Law of Motion

 The acceleration of a body is

directly proportional to the force
that cause it to move and
inversely proportional to the mass
of the object being move.
Newton’s Third Law of Motion

 For every action there is an equal

and opposite reaction.

Okay, is there any question about the concept of

the three laws of motion class?
That’s good! None ma’am.
This time, you are going to do a Concept Mapping
class. Then, I will give each of you a manila paper and
marker. So each group will choose 1 representative to
present your output in front. The students will
You will be given 5 minutes to do the activity. participate to the activity.
Class, why are the three laws of motion are
important in our daily life? It is important because it
tell us exactly how things
move or sit still, like why
you don’t float out of bed
or fall through the floor of
your house.
E. Application
Do an activity ”MY CREATION”
Learning Task:
1. Group yourselves into 3.
2. Group 1 will design an experiment that will be
explained by the First Law of Motion.
3. Group 2 will design an experiment that will be
explained by the Second Law of Motion.
4.Group 3 will design an experiment that will be
explained by the Third Law of Motion.
5. You will be given 5 minutes to do the activity. The students will
The rubric below shows how you’ll be graded: participate to the activity.

Very good class!

V. EVALUATION
Now that we’ve discovered Newton’s Laws of Motion, it’s time assess your
understanding.
In a ¼ sheet of paper answer the following questions:

1. Wearing seatbelt to prevent injuries during vehicular collision is an example of:

a.Law of Inertia b. Law of Acceleration c. Law of Interaction
2. It states that “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
a. Law of Inertia b. Law of Acceleration c. Law of Interaction
3. It states that “The acceleration of an object depends directly upon the net force
acting upon the object, and inversely proportional upon the mass of the object.”
a. Law of Inertia b. Law of Acceleration c. Law of Interaction
4. A bird flies by pushing by pushing the air downward. Thus the air also pushes
the bird upward is an example of:
a. Law of Inertia b. Law of Acceleration c. Law of Interaction
5. The tendency of an object at rest to remain at rest and a moving object to
remain in motion, unless acted upon by an external force.
a. Law of Inertia b. Law of Acceleration c. Law of Interaction
VI. ASSIGNMENT
Draw of any accident where all three laws of motion are relevant, and state how
each law was relevant with each other.
A. Law of Inertia
B. Law of Acceleration
C. Law of Interaction
VII. REMARKS

VIII. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned
80% on the formative
assessment.
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation.
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who
have caught up with the
lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue
to require remediation.
E. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well? Why
did this work?
F. What difficulties did I
encounter which my principal
or supervisor can help me
solve?

G. What innovation or localized

materials did I use/ discover
which I wish to share with
other teachers?
