    Sub: Amendment in the RR to provide further the promotion channels for the post
    MTS in CERC – reg.

    Respected Sir,
    With due respect, this is to be stated that I Manmohan was appointed as MTS in
    CERC w.e.f 9th March, 2015 and subsequently absorbed to the said post after
    completing the probation period. Since 2017, I am tendering my services to CERC.
    2. Seeing my mental ability and English/ Hindi typing skills, i am deputed in Admin
    Division of CERC and currently dealing the following duties in Admin Division of CERC:-

    (a) Handling all Types of Reimbursements work as Tele/Int, Maintenance of Vehicle,


    Mobile Handset, Brief Case, Newspaper, Wages of Unskilled worker to the Chief’s
    CERC and maintain all Registers and records regarding above said work.
    (b) Process Payments of MTNL Bills towards Official Telephone and Data Cards.
    (c) Handling TA/DA Bills of Officers.
    (d) However, handle the work regarding Hindi Typing as per need of Hindi Division.

    3. I have completed my 12th and Further, willing to enhance my qualification in future.

    4. As per Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recruitment, Control and


    Service conditions of Staff) (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2024 and its subsequent
    amendments, no provisions have been made for the promotion of certain post including
    the post of Peon/MTS.

    5. In absence of the promotion channels, personnel in the said post will stuck to the
    same post on which they have joined the service for their remaining service period i.e till
    the age of superannuation. This hampers the further carrier progression and subsequent
    benefits to the deserving candidates if not considered by CERC for
    amendment/implementation of promotion channels for the said post.

    6 In view of the above and seeing my qualification and other skills, my request must
    be considered i.e. further promotion channels for deserving candidates must be
    extended for the post of MTS/ Peon in upcoming amendments of Central Electricity
    Regulatory Commission (Recruitment, Control and Service conditions of Staff) (Sixth
    Amendment) Regulations, 2024 This will help the carrier progression and further carrier
    benefits to the personnel of the said post.
