EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

JOB REFERENCE NUMBER: AU857/519/KUWAIT/2022

THIS CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT is made on [14th of OCTOBER, 2022]


KUWAIT R0YAL HOSPITAL is a health care institution and Research Institution duly registered with the
Government of Kuwait.

EMPLOYEE: MARWA KAMAL KAMEL


The hospital has made an offer of employment to the Employee through our recruitment partner Careers Department.

The Employee has accepted the offer of employment by the terms of this Contract.

THE PARTIES AGREE as follows: appointment and TERM

The hospital shall employ the Employee as a PSYCHOLOGIST

And the Employee shall serve the hospital by the terms of this Contract.

The employment shall commence on the [14th NOVEMBER, 2022] and shall continue for
two (2) years (“Initial Term”). At the end of the Initial Term, the employment shall be considered
renewed unless otherwise stated by the hospital through an official written notice one (1) month
before the end of the Initial Term.

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

The Employee's normal working hours shall be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday to Thursday together with
additional hours necessary for the proper performance of [his/her] duties.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD

The Employee's employment will be probationary for [two] months from the Commencement Date.

PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT

The Employee's place of employment shall be within the KUWAIT R0YAL HOSPITAL
SALARY AND ALLOWANCES

The Employee shall be paid a salary of KWD 3,900.00[three Thousand nine hundred Kuwait
dinar)] [per month]

The Total Remuneration shall be payable in [12] equal [monthly] installments on the [25th] of every
month [by bank transfer].

The hospital shall provide the Employee with a Business class return air ticket from KUWAIT, to
Employee’s home country each Year

The hospital shall provide accommodation for the Employee in addition to medical insurance and
education support for not more than 2 children of the Employee.

ALLOWANCES/ ENTITLEMENTS:

CAR MAINTENANCE: KWD 150 (MONTHLY)

HOUSE & FURNISHINGS: KWD 4,550(YEARLY)

ENTERTAINMENT & RECREATION: KWD 100 (MONTHLY)

TRAVEL & EVENTS: KWD 150 (MONTHLY)

UPFRONT PAYMENT OF SALARIES FOR NON-KUWAIT RESIDENTS

one monthly salary shall be paid in advance before Employee officially assumes duty. This is to help
the Employee settle all domestic needs before travel and also ease the adaptation process in the
KUWAIT.

The one-month upfront salaries are paid as soon as the work permit is secured and the contract is
registered by the Kuwait Ministry the of interior.

WORK PERMIT/IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is Official that employees from outside KUWAIT will pay for their work permits. However, the
hospital shall reimburse the employee the full amount paid and all extra expenses incurred once
he/she resumes work upon the provision of proof of expenses [receipts].

ANNUAL LEAVE

The Employee shall be entitled to [30] calendar days of annual leave each year in addition to the
KUWAIT national holidays declared as public holidays, during which the Employee will receive
28,500 in addition to [his/her] Total monthly Remuneration.
UNIVERSITY POLICIES

The Employee agrees to comply with the employment policies, practices, rules, regulations, and
instructions of the hospital currently in force or which hereafter may be amended, revised, or
adopted at the sole discretion of the University from time to time.

The Employee shall comply at all times with such additional duties and obligations as are set out
in the Employee handbook which may be altered by the hospital from time to time by way of a written
notice to the Employee. In the event of a conflict between this Contract and the said Employee
handbook, the provisions of this Contract shall prevail.

NON-COMPETE

The Employee shall not (without the prior written consent of the hospital) during the term of this
Contract and at any time within six months following termination of this Contract, in any
manner, directly or indirectly, either individually or in conjunction with others or any other
manner whatsoever, within the KUWAIT, carry on or be engaged in or be concerned with or
interested in or advise any person or persons, firm, association, syndicate, hospital or corporation
engaged in or concerned with or interested in a business similar to the business being carried on
by the University. Any violation of this clause while employed by the hospital shall be cause for
termination without notice or payment instead of notice.

CONFIDENTIALITY/NON-DISCLOSURE

The Employee acknowledges that in the performance of [his/her] duties he/she will acquire detailed
and confidential knowledge of the hospital operations and other confidential documents and
information. The Employee agrees that he/she shall not in any way use, divulge, furnish or make
accessible to any person, either during [his/her] employment or any time thereafter, any
confidential information relating to the business of the hospital, acquired by the Employee in the
course of [his/her] employment with the hospital.

TERMINATION

The hospital and the Employee may terminate the employment under this Contract by giving one
month's notice in writing to the other.

The hospital policy may terminate the employment under this Contract with immediate effect For
cause if the Employee has committed a breach constituting a ground for summary dismissal or if
the Employee has breached any terms and provisions of this Contract where the Employee has
failed to remedy such breach within [5] days following the Employee's receipt of a written notice
from the hospital specifying the breach On termination of the employment under this Contract,
the Employee shall deliver to the hospital all documents made, compiled or acquired by
[him/her], which are in [his/her] possession, custody, care or control as a direct result of [his/her]
employment, including but not limited to) business cards, credit and charge cards (, security and
computer pass, or other media on which information is held in his possession relating to the
business or affairs of the hospital.

END-OF-SERVICE BENEFITS

On termination of this Contract, the hospital shall pay the Employee such end-of-service gratuity as
may be payable by Employment Regulations.

AMENDMENTS

No modification, variation, or amendment to this Contract shall be effective unless such


modification, variation, or amendment is in writing and has been signed by or on behalf of both
Parties.

GOVERNING LAW

The contract is governed by and construed by the laws, regulations, and rules applicable to
KUWAIT and the parties hereto submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of KUWAIT.
