    Time: 1 Hour
    I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson the students must be able to:
    A. Define the common types of figure of speech.
    B. Identify the common types of figure of speech in a sentence.
    C. Use the different common types of figure of speech to compose a song,
    poem, or a short story.

    Values Integration
    Figures of speech is important because it enhances the beauty of writing and
    gives a deeper meaning to the readers and allow students to apply the importance
    of using figures of speech in communicating to others in a meaningful manner.

    II. Content
    Topic: Common Types of Figure of Speech
    Learning Resources:
    A. References: Integrated English for Effective Communication Philippine
    Literature 7 Pages 107- 127

    B. Materials:
    For student:
    laptop/ cellphone/ tablet, marker and paper
    For teacher:
    Book, power point presentation, pictures, music video, and laptop
    Teaching Strategies:
    Discussion, quiz, oral recitation, written activities
