Cinderella

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, there lived a kind-hearted girl named Cinderella.
She had a beautiful spirit but lived a life filled with hardship and cruelty. After her father
passed away, her wicked stepmother and stepsisters treated her like a servant in her own
home.

One day, news of a royal ball arrived, and everyone in the kingdom was invited. Cinderella
longed to attend, but her stepmother forbade her, leaving her in tears. As she wept in the
garden, a magical fairy godmother appeared. With a wave of her wand, she transformed
Cinderella’s tattered clothes into a magnificent gown, her shoes into glass slippers, and even
a pumpkin into a grand carriage.

Cinderella attended the ball, where she captured the heart of the charming prince. However,
her magical night was short-lived, and she had to leave the ball before midnight when the
spell would wear off. In her haste, she left behind a glass slipper.

The prince searched the kingdom for the owner of the slipper, and when he found Cinderella,
they were joyfully reunited. They married, and Cinderella forgave her stepmother and
stepsisters, inviting them to live in the palace.

Moral of the story: The story of Cinderella teaches us about the power of kindness,
resilience, and the belief that goodness will ultimately prevail, even in the face of cruelty and
hardship. It reminds us that no matter how dire our circumstances, our dreams can come true
with a little help from magic and a lot of determination.
Snow White

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young princess named Snow White. She lived with
her stepmother, the Evil Queen, who was very jealous of her beauty. The Evil Queen had a
magic mirror that always told her she was the fairest in the land. But one day, the mirror told
her that Snow White was even more beautiful than she was.

The Evil Queen was furious. She ordered a huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and
kill her. The huntsman felt sorry for Snow White, so he let her go. Snow White wandered
through the forest for days, until she came to a small cottage. She knocked on the door, but
no one answered. She went inside and found that the cottage belonged to seven dwarfs who
were away at work. Snow White cleaned the cottage and cooked a delicious meal for the
dwarfs. When the dwarfs came home, they were so grateful to Snow White that they invited
her to stay with them.

The Evil Queen was still jealous of Snow White, so she disguised herself as an old woman
and went to the cottage. She gave Snow White a poisoned apple, and Snow White fell into a
deep sleep. The dwarfs were heartbroken. They placed Snow White in a glass coffin in the
forest, and all the animals came to mourn her.

One day, a handsome prince came riding through the forest. He saw Snow White in the glass
coffin and fell in love with her. He kissed her, and the spell was broken. Snow White woke
up and the prince was overjoyed. They were married and lived happily ever after.

Moral of the story: The story has a moral message that good will always defeat evil. Snow
White is a kind and friendly girl, and she is loved by everyone who knows her. The Evil
Queen is a wicked and envious woman, and she is eventually defeated by Snow White’s
kindness.
The Ant and the Grasshopper

Once upon a time, there was an ant who worked hard all summer long. He gathered food to
prepare for the winter. The ant worked hard every day, from dawn to dusk.
Meanwhile, a grasshopper played all summer long. He sang and danced and played games.
He did not worry about the winter.
One day, the ant saw the grasshopper playing. He said, “Why are you not working? You
should be gathering food for the winter.”
The grasshopper said, “Why should I work? There is plenty of food now. I will work in the
winter when it is cold.”
The ant shook his head. “You are being foolish,” he said. “If you do not work now, you will
starve in the winter.”
The grasshopper laughed. “I will not starve,” he said. “I will find something to eat.”
The winter came, and the ant was well prepared. He had a warm home and plenty of food to
eat. The grasshopper, on the other hand, was not prepared. He was cold and hungry.
The grasshopper went to the ant and asked for help. “Please,” he said. “I am starving. Can
you give me some food?”
The ant said, “I told you that you should work in the summer. Now you must suffer the
consequences.”
The grasshopper learned his lesson. He never played all summer long again. He worked hard
every day, just like the ant.
Moral of the story: It is important to be prepared for the future. Do not wait until it is too
late.
GREEDY MOUSE

A greedy mouse saw a basket full of corn. He wanted to eat it. So he made a small
hole in the basket. He squeezed in through the hole. He ate a lot of corn. He felt full.
He was very happy.

Now he wanted to come out. He tried to come out through the small hole. He could
not. His belly was full. He tried again. But it was of no use.

The mouse started crying. A rabbit was passing by. It heard the mouse’s cry and
asked: “Why are you crying my friend?”

The mouse explained: “I made a small hole and came into the basket. Now I am not
able to get out through that hole.”

The rabbit said: “It is because you ate too much. Wait til your belly shrinks”. The
rabbit laughed and went away.

The mouse fell asleep in the basket. Next morning his belly had shrunk. But the
mouse wanted to eat some corn. So he ate and ate. His belly was full once again. He
thought: “Oh! Now I will go out tomorrow”.

The cat was the next passerby. He smelt the mouse in the basket. He lifted its lid. He
ate the mouse.
The Legend of Surabaya City
A long time ago, there were two animals, Sura and Baya. Sura was the name of a shark and
Baya was a crocodile. They lived in a sea.
Once Sura and Baya were looking for some food. Suddenly, Baya saw a goat. Yummy, this is my
lunch; said Baya.
No way! This is my lunch. You are greedy; said Sura. Then they fought for the goat. After
several hours, they were very tired.
Feeling tired of fighting, they lived in the different places. Sura lived in the water and Baya
lived in the land. The border was the beach, so they would never fight again.
One day, Sura went to the land and looked for some food in the river. He was very hungry and
there was not much food in the sea. Baya was very angry when he knew that Sura broke the
promise.
They fought again. They both hit each other. Sura bit Baya’s tail. Baya did the same thing to
Sura. He bit very hard until Sura finally gave up and went back to the sea. Baya was happy.
