AN ACT GRANTING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS TO SOLO
PARENTS, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC
ACT NO. 8972, ENTITLED “AN ACT PROVIDING FOR
BENEFITS AND PRIVILEGES TO SOLO PARENTS AND
T H E I R CHILDREN, APPROPRIATING F U N D S
THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the


Philippines in. Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Section 1 o f Republic Act N o . 8972, entitled


as “An Act Providing for Benefits and Privileges to Solo
Parents and Their Children, Appropriating Funds Therefor
and for Other Purposes”, is amended to read as’follows:

“SECTION 1. Title. — This Act shall be known


as the ‘Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act’.”

SEC. 2 . Section 2 of Republic Act No. 8972 is amended definitiOn shall only apply for purposes of availing
