Silly, absurd, and outrageous excuse-themed art prompts are the springboard for this fun-filled,
action-packed doodle extravaganza. Fun illustrations that remind me of artwork from a bygone era. I
am completely enamored of Davide Cali and Benjamin Chaud's new book I Didn't Do My
Homework Because... And, I Didn't Do My Homework Because... truly is the work of both author

underachiever a variety of reasons to offer his teacher for not doing his homework. Felicita Sala's
illustrations for Maria Gianferrari's poetic text are mesmerizingly immersive and richly colorful within
a palette of earth tones. The excuses go on and on, each more absurd than the next and escalating to
hilarious heights. The humor, both visual and textural, will probably appeal best to slightly older
readers, but you don't have to be of an age to be assigned (or once have been assigned) homework to
enjoy I Didn't Do My Homework Because. The text would still be funny without the illustrations,
and the illustrations would still be entertaining without the text, but they would both be lacking.
Every page is packed with jumbles and swirls of zaniness and movement. You may receive a partial
or no refund on used, damaged or materially different returns. As a cautionary tale with hardly any
story, this droll little book can be enjoyed for the cheek of the protagonist, the broad inventiveness of
the excuses, and the scale of the whimsical illustrations (the giant lizards invading the neighborhood
are a sight to behold). Please try again. Not in a club? Learn more Join or create book clubs Choose

I’ll write one myself someday) but the illustrations are bright and the one fun. May be very minimal

pinstripe suit, a red tie and socks makes you want to take him seriously while his longish, disheveled
