Dear Principal,

It is with great delight that I welcome

your students to participate in the first
ever Day and Night limited overs Inter
School Cricket Tournament, which will
be played under floodlights at Seth
Anandram Jaipuria School ground from
4th May to 15th May.
This tournament will help students to play with some of the
best talent from the city schools, and will help them to
enhance their own skills.
Sports are a great leveller that not only provide relaxation
and entertainment but help in enhancing physical fitness along
with mental well-being. Lessons in humility, gracefulness in
both victory and defeat can be learnt only through contests
like these.
This invitation contains the event dates , schedule and the
rules of the Competition.
I eagerly anticipate the entry from your school and look
forward to welcoming your students.

We invite students (U-14 age Category) to this tournament

Entry is based on first come first serve basis.
A maximum of 24 teams can participate.
Kindly send the entries on or before 25th April 2024.
All entries should be sent as per the enclosed entry form.

Registration Fee: Rs. 6000 per team.
Forms will not be accepted without a Registration Fee.
Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Dress Code: Black Trousers with the same colorful T-shirts.
Late entries and wrong entries will not be considered
U-14 age category eligibility born between 01/01/2010 - 31/12/2011 (Mentioned as on
Aaadhar Card)
All the team should report by 4:00 PM on 4th May at the venue.
Late Arrival: Teams over 30 minutes late will have to forfeit the game.
The players & team officials shall abide by the rules of the Organizing Committee
The organizing committee reserves the right to alter or amend the rules.
The organizers are not responsible for any indemnity during the competition.
Organizers are not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
Protest fee: Rs. 1000/-
The protest once declared by the Executive Committee will be final and binding, and
shall not be disputed by any of the parties concerned in any other forum thereafter.
The decision of the Umpire will be final.
Any team found having an an overage player or any manipulation detected in the
documents will lead to disqualification without any prior intimation.
Amenities: Refreshments will be provided for all players per match.
All the players are required to carry their original school ID cards /Aadhar Card with
them during the competition. Failure to do so may disqualify them from participating
in the match.

Tournament Format: League-cum-knockout.

Rulebook: Matches governed by TBCAL Rules.

League Phase:
Grouping: Teams will be divided into eight groups through a draw.
Match Points: Points will be awarded as follows: Win = 2 points, Tie/No
Result = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.
Ranking Criteria: Teams will be ranked based on points. In case of a tie,
the following criteria will be used in order: Net Run Rate (NRR),
Head-to-Head result, and then Fewest Wickets Lost.
In case of a tie, a Super Over will decide the winner.

Knockout Phase:
Qualification: The top team from each group will qualify for the
knockout phase.
Format: Matches will be played on a single-elimination basis. Losing
teams will be eliminated, while winners progress to the next round,
culminating in a final to determine the tournament winner.
Tiebreaker in Knockout Matches: In case of a tie, a Super Over will
decide the winner. If the Super Over is also tied, the team with the
higher league phase ranking will advance.

Equipment and Safety:

Protective Gear: Players must wear appropriate protective gear while
batting.
Uniforms: Teams must wear Black Trousers with the same colourful
T-shirts.

Match Rules:
Overs: Each match will consist of a fixed number of overs (e.g., 8 overs
per inning in league matches and 10 overs per inning in Knockout
matches), to be decided by the organizing committee.
Ball: Only tennis balls approved by the organizing committee will be
used. One bowler can bowl 3 overs and the rest 2 overs.
Super sub: Each team is allowed up to 3 Super Subs which can be used to
bat, bowl, or field during the match. (Each team will consist of 12
players 9 playing + 3 impact).

Conduct and Discipline:

Code of Conduct: All participants are expected to maintain a high level
of sportsmanship and respect towards umpires, opponents, and
officials.
Disputes: Any disputes will be resolved by the Tournament Committee,
whose decision will be final and binding.

Health and Safety:

Medical Facilities: Basic medical facilities, physiotherapists and a first-
aid kit must be available at the venue.
Hydration: Adequate water and refreshments will be provided to all
players.

Awards and Recognition:

Prizes: Trophies or prizes will be awarded to the winning team,
runners-up, and individual performers.
Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Man of the Match will be awarded in
each match.
Closing Ceremony: A brief ceremony will follow the final match to
distribute awards and close the tournament.

Additional Provisions:
Weather and Delays: If bad weather or other delays happen, the
tournament organizers already have rules set up to deal with it. This
might mean changing the schedule to play the game at a different time
or deciding who wins based on how the game was going before it got
stopped.
Amendments: The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the
rules at any point for the betterment of the tournament. All teams will
be notified of such changes.
