    1. As a student, how can you sustain focus and attention with technology distracting you from
    things that matter (academics, personal relationships, community involvement)?

    - To sustain focus amidst technological distractions, start by setting specific goals for your
    academic, personal, and community involvement. Use productivity tools like website blockers or
    apps that limit screen time on non-essential platforms. Establish a designated study space free
    from distractions, and utilize time management techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique to
    break tasks into manageable chunks. Prioritize tasks based on their importance and deadlines,
    allocating specific time slots for studying, socializing, and community activities. Additionally,
    cultivate mindfulness through practices like meditation or deep breathing exercises to improve
    concentration and reduce the urge to constantly check devices. Lastly, foster open
    communication with friends and family about your commitments and boundaries, ensuring they
    respect your focused study time while also nurturing your personal relationships.

    2. Should we abandon developing autonomous and sentient robots? Why or why not?

    - Abandoning the development of autonomous and sentient robots isn’t advisable because of their
    potential to revolutionize various industries, from healthcare to manufacturing, leading to
    efficiency gains and advancements in human productivity. However, ethical considerations must
    guide their development, ensuring they align with human values and don’t pose existential
    threats. Strides in AI and robotics can enhance safety by automating hazardous tasks, but careful
    regulation is necessary to mitigate potential risks such as job displacement and misuse.
    Moreover, autonomous systems can aid in disaster response and exploration, making them
    invaluable tools for humanity’s progress. Thus, while proceeding cautiously, continuing to
    develop autonomous and sentient robots holds promise for positive societal impact and
    technological advancement.
