 bo bobble stitch (5 partially completed dc are worked into one

stitch. Finish your bobble stitch by drawing your yarn through all
remaining loops on your crochet hook alltogether.)
Using the stated cotton yarns and a CHS 2.5 mms, *Hope* the lamb will be
about 11 cms in length and about 8 cms in height. Therefore, it has the perfect
size to be used in stroller chains, crib mobiles or baby car seats!

This is how you achieve the bobble stitch (bo):

For the bobble stitch, everything is worked into one and the same stitch. In this
pattern, our bobble stitch will consist of 5 „partially completed“ double
crochets! Wait until you have made 5 „partially completed“ double crochets
into the same stitch, before you draw your yarn through the remaining loops
alltogether.

Work 5 unfinished double crochets into the same stitch as follows:

Step 1: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (you
now have 3 loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first two loops.
(2 remaining loops on the crochet hook)

You have finished your 1st unfinished double crochet!

Step 2: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (4
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (3 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 3: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (5
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (4 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 4: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (6
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops (5 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 5: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (7
loops on the crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops

(6 remaining loops on the crochet hook)

Step 6: Grab your yarn one last time and draw it through all 6 loops on your
crochet hook to finish the stitch. (see picture 1)

In conclusion, you are repeating one step 5 times.

You have achieved your first bobble stitch! The first bobble is done. (See picture
2)

Helpful advice:
 Make sure to crochet rather tight to avoid any big holes. This will reduce
your fiberfill peeking through!

 I also suggest to continuously push your boobles outside a little bit so that
the bobble pattern is clearly visible.

The following lamb is made, using the colors for lamb no. 3

Body:
Work in rounds! (Color: Cream)

1. 5 sc, 1 bo in a magic ring (6) 1st round of bobbles! (see

picture 3+4)

2. (inc) x6 (12)

3. (1 sc, 1 bo) x6 = 6 sc + 6bo (12) 2nd round of bobbles!

(see picture 5)
4. (inc) x12 (24)

5. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 3rd round of bobbles!

6. 24 sc (24)

7. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 4th round of bobbles!

8. 24 sc (24)

9. (1 sc, 1 bo) x 12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 5th round of bobbles!

(see picture 6)

10. 24 sc (24)

11. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 6th round of bobbles!

12. 24 sc (24)

13. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 7th bobble round!

Do not forget to stuff the body with fiberfill and to insert the rattle ball! (See
picture 7)

14. (dec) x12 (12)

15. (1 sc, 1 bo) x6 = 6 sc + 6 bo (12) 8th round of bobbles!

Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill. (See picture 8)

16. (dec) x5, 1 bo (7) 9th round of bobbles!

Finish this round with 1 sl st into the 3rd stitch from your crochet hook. Sew up
small holes if necessary. Cut the yarn long enough so it can be used later to sew
on the head. (See picture 9 + 10)

14. 18 sc (18)

Now it's the right time to attach the safety eyes. Insert them between round 10

third bobble right between the eyes. (See picture 12)

Do not forget to stuff the head with fiberfill!

15. (1 sc, 1 bo) x9 = 9 sc + 9 bo (18) 2nd round of bobbles!

Finish this round with 1 sl st into the 3rd stitch from your crochet hook. Sew up

Use your hands to flatten the head a little bit to give it a nicer shape! (See
picture 18)

Legs (4x):
Work in rounds! (color: Ecru)

1. 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2. (inc) x6 (12)

3. 12 sc in front loop only! (12)

4-5. 12 sc (2 rounds) (12)

6. (1 sc, dec) x4 (8)

Finish with 1 sl st and stuff the legs firmly with fiberfill.

Cut the yarn long enough so that you can use it later to sew the legs to the body.
Ears (2x):
Work in rounds! (Color: Ecru)

1. 5 sc in a magic ring (5)

2. (inc) x5 (10)

3-4. 10 sc (2 rounds) (10)

5. (2 sc, dec) x2, 2 sc (8)

Finish with 1 sl st. Cut the yarn long enough so you can use it to sew the ears to
the head.

The ears remain unstuffed.

Fold and pinch the ears together where the opening is and sew both sides
together with 1-2 stitches.
Assembly:
Step 1:
Sew the head to the body (to the 8th and 9th round of bobbles). I always sew on
the head facing slightly sideways, as it makes the lamb look even a little bit
cuter.

Step 2:
Sew the ears to the head between round 13 and 15, thus between the 1st and
2nd round of bobbles, 5 bobbles apart!

 The right ear is sewn to the head between the 1st and 12th bobble, which
you have made in round 13.

 The left ear is sewn to the head between the 5th and 6th bobble, which
you have made in round 13.

Step 3:
Sew the legs to the body.

 The hind legs are sewn on between the 3rd and 4th round of bobbles, 2
bobbles apart.
 The forelegs are sewn on the 7th round of bobbles, about 2 bobbles apart.

Step 4:
For some finishing touches, you may use a brush and carefully apply some pink
blush onto the lamb's cheeks.
Sleeping lamb Hope

For the sleeping lamb, the following materials have been used:
(CHS 2.5mms)
Face, legs & ears: Ricorumi, Cotton yarn in the color: Ivory (061)
Body & head: Use a double thread of:
 Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in the color: Off-White (001)
 White sock yarn for example by Schachenmayr Regia 4-ply
(You may also use any other sock yarn of about 210m per 50g)

Use black cotton yarn for the eyes.

The sleeping eyes are embroidered in round 10 and over the length of 2
stitches.

The sleeping lamb's legs are positioned differently:

 The hind legs are sewn to the 2nd and 3rd round of bobbles, about 1-2
bobbles apart.
th th
 The forelegs are sewn to the 7 and 8 round of bobbles, about 1 bobble
apart.

Quick info: Your lamb will also be able to stand just fine with this positioning of
the legs!
