The idea that mathematics can explain everything in the universe has long been held by scientists. Every
physical system or process that we observe may be broken down into numbers. Some people even go so far as
to claim that mathematics not only describes our reality, but also functions as the universe's building blocks.
Computational science is made possible and useful by the expanding and constantly improving capabilities of
today's computers. The computer is at the heart of all technology, and as a result, we are constantly on the
brink of a new spark. This enormous digital revolution won't stop; in fact, it will continue to spread over the
entire world. These developments in the technological sector will sure present me with a number of
professionals and entrepreneurial opportunities. Hence, I have applied and got accepted to the Master of
Science (Computational Sciences - Course based) program at Laurentian University in Canada for the fall
intake 2023, which will start from September 6 th, 2023 in order to take part in the upcoming digital roller
coaster ride and to pursue my passion for computer engineering.

I completed both my Secondary School certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate from Bangladesh
International School and College, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Initially, I learnt about
information and technology subject while studying in higher secondary school. Since then, programming has
piqued my curiosity. The idea of employing simple instructions to address any practical concerns attracted me.
I never imagined that dealing with problems would make me so happy and enthusiastic. I graduated from
American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), one of Bangladesh’s most esteemed universities, with a
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in April, 2023. As part of my curriculum, I did a thesis
paper. I was able to investigate Bangladesh's outsourcing business, which has recently become popular, for my
thesis topic, "An Empirical Survey on Outsourcing Software Projects in Bangladesh". This study gave me
insightful knowledge about the difficulties and possibilities in this profession. During my graduation, I was
also fortunate enough to work with professionals during my internships at reputable company named
GAOTek Inc. These encounters made me more aware of the difficulties in the real world and gave me the
chance to use my analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle challenging situations.

There is no MSc program in Computational Science offered by the universities in my nation, despite the fact
that they provide a Master’s degree in computer science. Additionally, they lack a modernized lab facility and
a qualified instructor to give this program to its students. In terms of both technology and teaching abilities,
institutions in Bangladesh are not completely equipped. That’s why I chose to earn my Master’s degree from a
developed nation. As a result, I started preparing for IELTS Exam. Eventually, I took my IELTS exam and
secured a good band.
One of the main reasons I decided to pursue my postgraduate studies in Canada is not only because it is one of
the top countries in the world for providing high-quality education, but also that it has the most noticeable
mixed-cultural society, which is said to be student-friendly. It will almost probably result in a position with a
higher salary at an IT company in Bangladesh. Canada has already established a multicultural, welcoming,
and peaceful society, which was a major factor in convincing me to choose Canada as my country of study.
I searched for universities that offered computational sciences. I was intrigued by Laurentian University after
learning that it offers superior academic, administrative, recreational, and support services to students. The
Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities' Key Performance Indicators has identified the Laurentian
University graduates to have the greatest employment rate among other Ontario universities. Within six
months of graduation, 94 % graduates of Laurentian university land a job. Having student to professor ratio of
19, Laurentian University guarantees a remarkable environment that encourages one-on-one conversations
with faculties, superior research and academic success. As a student of Laurentian University, I will have
access to state-of-the-art classrooms, and laboratories, but also to a variety of sporting and recreational
opportunities which will in turn support my growth as individual and as thinker. Furthermore, the university
is surrounded by lakes. Its natural settings helps student concentrate on their studies. In each seasons, students
can take part in different unique activities such as boating, ice skating or hiking.
 Study Plan
To investigate and comprehend the natural world, contemporary scientists increasingly rely on computational
modelling and data analysis. Computational modelling is essential to growth and scientific advancements in
the 21st century because of its pervasive application in science and its vital significance to the field's future. I
have no doubt that receiving an MSc in Computational Science from Laurentian University will improve my
abilities, understanding, and career prospects in the software, business, and information technology sectors.
Studying in this program will enable me to become familiar with various tools such as mathematical
modelling techniques, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Data Mining, Matrix Computations, Artificial
Intelligence all of which will help me become data science engineering.

In Bangladesh, the field of data science is expanding. Only a small percentage of the skilled workers in our
nation are employed right now. The need for data scientists is growing along with the importance of data
science, which is becoming more and more important every day. A data scientist needs to be able to offer
answers through the examination of both structured and unstructured data. They must be aware of the right
system in order to accomplish this and reach their objectives. I believe, my career will soar even further with a
master’s degree in Computational Science-course based from Laurentian University which offers both the
desired real-world experience and the necessary academic foundation for specializing in a particular field of
interest. In the post-Covid Bangladesh, modernized and automation have improved, enabling IT corporations
and organizations to survive despite the challenges these businesses faced in Bangladesh in earlier years. As a
result, numerous commercial and IT firms have altered their business strategies and adopted cutting-edge
technological advancements. After I complete my Master's, I'll return to Bangladesh because it has a lot to offer
aspiring professionals. If I can successfully complete my schooling, I'm convinced that I can seek a stable start
for my start-up while also landing a very respectable position. After working for a respectable company for a
brief period of time, I want to create my start-up and settle my debt to the country. Many businesses in my
country, including Service, IM Digital, Dhaka Distributions, Trustaira, Samsung, and Walton, thrive at
collaborating with foreign partners. I'd like to work for one of these businesses to gain experience.

“This is part of what a family is about, not just love. It's knowing that your family will be there watching out
for you. Nothing else will give you that. Not money. Not fame. Not work”- Mitch Albom’s quote which he
wrote in his memoir “Tuesdays with Morrie” touched my heart. The greatest gift one can have in their life is the
love of their family. I consider myself fortunate to be able to say that I have a very devoted family. I have
acquired integrity and independence from my parents. I am truly blessed to belong to a family who has always
helped and supported me as I strive to achieve my goals. They have never compromised to fund my
academics as they care about my achievement and happiness. Therefore, I am unable to leave my family
behind. Since I've never lived apart from my family, it will be incredibly difficult for me to say goodbye. I want
to go to Canada because my father inspires me to do so and to fulfill my dream career. I was motivated to
begin my preparation for higher education overseas by his encouraging comments to follow my interest. I
want to establish my career in Bangladesh. We still have lacking in our IT sector as a developing nation,
particularly in data science. I am convinced that I will have a lot more to contribute to Bangladesh if I am able
to complete my studies in Canada. Since I developed a liking for computer programming, it has been my
desire to launch a startup that will be known all over the world and represent my nation.
