THE INTRODUCTORY RITES The absolution by the Priest follows:

approach the altar. forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.

PRIEST: In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

OFFERTORY
During the Offertory, the bread and wine are brought to the SANCTUS
altar. In the absence of an Offertory hymn, the Priest may say
aloud a prayer of blessing. Each time the people acclaim: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
R: Blessed be God for ever.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

PRIEST: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters), Please kneel after the Sanctus. KNEEL
that my sacrifice and yours
may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. THE MYSTERY OF FAITH
Please stand – The people rise and reply: STAND PRIEST: The mystery of faith.
R: We proclaim your Death, O Lord,
R: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands and profess your Resurrection
for the praise and glory of his name, until you come again.
for our good OR: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup,
and the good of all his holy Church. we proclaim your Death, O Lord,
until you come again.
OR: Save us, Saviour of the world,
PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS for by your Cross and Resurrection
At the end of this prayer the people acclaim: you have set us free.

The Eucharistic Prayer concludes with the Doxology – ‘Through

APOSTLES’ CREED
