THE TOTAL

TONGUE TWISTER COLLECTION

Tongue twisters are phrases and sentences that are difficult to
pronounce accurately. They’re a great way to practice sounds and
sound combinations and improve your fluency.

We’ve created a list of tricky tongue twisters, long and short, that will
help you practice many different sounds in English, and have fun while
doing it!

⚡ How to practice tongue twisters

1. Say the sentence once, and identify the most challenging parts for
you.
2. Repeat the challenging part several times, and then say the
sentence (if you have a few challenging parts do the same for
each part).
3. Repeat each tongue twister at least five times.

* Don’t try to say it fast. Make it accurate and clear. Then, speed up
each time you repeat it, and only when you feel confident.

Let’s do this thing!

FACTORY OWNER:
I am honored by your visit, let me show you our assembly line. First,
sheets of sheer synthetic sheepskin are slit into several Kicky Sack shoe
shapes and shapely shoe sizes by six sitting sheet slitters.

BRAIN:
I only see five sitting sheet slitters.

OWNER:
The sixth sitting sheet slitter's sick. His son Sammy's subbing till the sick
sixth sitting sheet slitter's back, sitting pretty.

PINKY:
You're not the sheet slitter?

SHEET SLITTER’S SON:

No, I'm the sheet slitter's son.

PINKY:
Well, you keep on slitting sheets until the sheet slitter comes. ha ha ha!

OWNER:
The shoe shaper then shapes the slit synthetic sheepskin sheets and
shoots out shoes through the chute. This is Mr. Plunket, the new khaki
sock plucker. I had to fire our previous sock plucker, he had a bit of an
attitude.

BRAIN:
So, you sacked the cocky khaki Kicky Sack sock plucker?

OWNER:
The second cocky khaki Kicky Sack sock plucker I sacked, since the sixth
sitting sheet slitter got sick!
