A. Preliminary Activities
1. Drill Personal Pronoun Words
I, you, he, she, it, me, him, her, we, you, they, us, them
2. Review Today we are going to have fun again.
Let’s review first what we learned previously.
Are you ready?
What are the four kinds of nouns that we discussed a week ago?
(The four kinds of nouns that we discussed a week ago are Mass Nouns, Count Nouns,
Possessive Nouns, and Collective Nouns)
What are Mass Nouns? (Mass Nouns are uncountable nouns.)
What are Count Nouns? (Count Nouns are nouns that can be counted)
What are Possessive Nouns? (Possessive Nouns expresses ownership or possession)
What are Collective Nouns? (Collective Nouns are nouns that refer to a group of
people, places, animals, or objects.)
Identify the underlined nouns in the sentence as to its kind. Write MN if it is a
MASS NOUN, CN if it is a COUNT NOUN, PN if it is a POSSESSIVE NOUN, and
CLN if it is a COLLECTIVE NOUN.
1. I drink two glasses of milk everyday to make my body healthy and strong. (MN)
2. The teacher has many pens on her table. (CN)
3. The vendor’s basket is full of fruits and vegetables.(PN)
4. My friend and I watch the flock of birds every afternoon. (CLN)
3. Unlocking of Difficult Words Read the following sentences. Determine the meaning of the underlined words using
picture clues.
1. Mother Earth is grieving. She is crying.
2. Down her cheeks tears are rolling. Her face is wet with tears.
3. Chloroflourocarbons suffocates Mother Earth. She can’t breathe easily.
4. Chloroflourocarbons are used in the manufacture of aerosols. These harmful
chemical pollute the air.
5. Valleys and mountains are now barren. There is nothing left to look at.
4. Motivation Before we start our lesson proper let us sing a song.

B. Activity Proper
1. Activity GROUP ACTIVITY
Each group/student is given a task card. They are to finished the task card for 3-5
minutes.
1. Read the Jazz Chant Mother Earth is Grieving. List down all the personal pronouns
found in the Jazz Chant. Pick two personal pronouns and use it in a sentence.
2. Personal Pronoun Puzzle. The students cut the cards and matches the words with the
pictures. Pick two personal pronouns and use it in a sentence.
3. Look for the personal pronouns and color them blue. Pick two personal pronouns and
use it in a sentence.
