ASSIGNMENT 1

Create a document containing text that should be properly aligned (justified) with proper
format. Use the “replace all” option in find & replace to replace each of instances of some
word. Save and protect your doc.
Sol: - Option 1: To apply find and replace.

Steps: - 1.Enter the text and use justify button in paragraph.

2. Use replace button in editing group and replace Microsoft with (MS).

3. Text after replacement is highlighted.

Steps: 1. Click on office button.
2. Then click on save.
3. Set the desired location and file name.

9. Enter your desired password and then press ok.

Insert a seven column and six rows to create a calendar for the current
month and do:
1. Enter the names of the days of the week in the first row of the table
2. Centre the day names horizontally and vertically.
3. Insert a row at the top of the table.
4. Merge the cells in the row and enter the current month and year using
a large font size.
5. Shade the row.
6. Enter and right-align the dates for the month in the appropriate cells
of the table.
7. Change the outside border to a more decorative border. Identify two
important dates in the calendar and shade them.

2. Make a 7x6 table.
3. Then right click and insert a row above.
4. Write all the data to make the month’s calendar.

*Insert a new column named grade in the Table.

2. To calculate the sum selects the row and then click the layout and select formula.
3. Write sum (left) in the formula to calculate sum.
4. Write max (above) in the formula to calculate sum.
5. Write min (left) in the formula to calculate sum.

3. In the last we can run a macro by clicking on the button or by pressing the key assigned for the

5. Then select your document and go to next step.
6. Further type the name of your recipients and save the file.

STEPS: 1. Select the advantages of computer and click on bullets option in the home tab to select
required bullets.
2. Select the disadvantages of computer and click on numbering option in the home tab to
select the required numbering.
3. Select the definition of computer and click on page layout tab. Further click on page borders
option to shade the text. Highlight option from the home tab.
4. Select the definition of computer and choose Canberra font style and font size 14 from the
available options in home tab.
5. Select the definition of computer and click on format painter option available in home tab.
Now, select the advantages to apply the same formatting.
6. Select the definition of computer and click on clear formatting option available in home tab.
7. Select the whole text by pressing ctrl+A. Now click on line spacing option available in home tab.
Select 1.5 from the available line spacing options.
8. Select the whole text by pressing ctrl+A. Now click on font option available in home tab. A
window will appear. Click on character spacing option and increase the spacing by 2pt.
9. Select the first disadvantages and click on strikethrough option available in home tab.
10. Choose the different change case options available in home tab to select different cases.
11. Select the headings and click on double underline option available in home tab.
12. Click on show/hide option of hidden characters available in home tab.
