AQI Analysis & Pollution Forecasting of Singrauli Coal Fields | Course Project: EE798Q (May’23 - Jun’23 )
Objective • To survey real-world time-series data on air pollution caused by open-pit coal mining in the Coal India industry
• Analysed temporal data using statistical methods and visualization, identified patterns and trends in pollutants
Approach
• Implemented ARIMA/SARIMA models and successfully estimated NaN values with a high accuracy of 90%
• Validated the impact of blasting on AQI, revealing an increase of 42% in air pollution during the blast period
Result
• Achieved a forecasting accuracy of 83%, accurately predicting air pollution levels for a future period of 10 days
ML Applications in Financial Markets |Mentor: Prof. Tushar Sandhan | Course Project: EE798Q (Jun’23-Jul’23 )
Objective • To build a model and predict the closing stock price data of next 2 days, on a given sample of past 50 days
• Studied temporal data analysis, models (RNN, LSTM and GRU) and their application in time series forecasting
Approach
• Tested LSTM and GRU models on data of past 10 years, and optimized using metrics such as MSE, R2Score
Result • Implemented the LSTM model and achieved an R2Score of 94.3% and a RMSE less than 3.5% of the mean
Proficient Application of Image Processing | Course Project: EE604A (Sep’22 - Nov’22 )
Objective • Acquired proficiency in versatile image processing techniques to adeptly address diverse challenges with precision
• Utilized diverse image techniques for correcting Misaligned images and Displaying dot matrix numbers
Approach
• Designed an efficient Hough Line Transform for line detection in tiles and crafted a Cyclone analysis algorithm.
• Developed algorithms for accurately localizing Gographical locations and removing shadows from images
