ASSEMBLY
• Sew the body to the head.
• Sew the middle piece of the mask to the
head (this will make it easier to sew the eye
patches on).
• Pin the eye patches on the head & sew them
to the head, on each side of the middle
piece. They should sit one row below the
middle piece. Before cutting off the tails
from the eye pieces, use them to sew them
to the eye patches to the middle piece.
• Sew the nose to the head. It should overlap
the face mask.
• Sew the ears to each side of the head. They
should line up with the bottom row of the
eye patches.
• Sew the leaf to the top of the head.
• Sew the stick to the leaf.
• Sew the legs to each side of the body, pull
the tail through to the bottom of the leg.
• Use the tail from the legs to sew the feet to
the legs.
• Sew five fingers on each arm.

8
• If your Grookey isn’t balanced or sitting
well, you can lean the head back slightly
and tack it down. You may also need to
do this with the arms to get them to sit
flat.
• Sew the tail to the back of the body. You
can add craft wire or pipe cleaner inside
of it if you want it to bend.
• If using felt: using a picture of Grookey as
a reference, cut two ovals out of white for
the eyes. Cut two smaller ovals out of
black for the irises & two really small
ovals out of white for the pupils. Glue or
sew the pieces down.
If needle felting: using a picture of
Grookey as a reference, create the eyes
using white. Add a black oval to each eye
for the iris & a small white oval in each
eye for the pupil.
• Using black embroidery floss or thread,
embroider two nostrils on the nose piece
& the mouth below the nose.
• Optional: using a piece of dark green
embroidery floss & embroider a V on the
leaf on the top of the head.
