- **Innings**: Each team takes turns to bat and bowl/field. An “innings” ends when ten players are out.
- **Wickets**: Three stumps and two bails at each end of the pitch.
### 3. **Roles**
- **Fielders**: Players who assist the bowler in preventing runs and getting the batsmen out.
- **Runs**: Scored by the batsmen running between the wickets or by hitting boundaries.
- **Four Runs**: Ball hits the ground before crossing the boundary.
- **Six Runs**: Ball crosses the boundary without touching the ground.
- **LBW (Leg Before Wicket)**: Ball hits the batsman’s leg in front of the stumps.
- **Run Out**: Fielders hit the stumps with the ball before the batsman completes a run.
- **Stumped**: Wicketkeeper hits the stumps while the batsman is out of the crease.
### 6. **Bowling**
### 7. **Batting**
- **Stance**: Stand sideways to the bowler with the bat held down.
- **Shots**: Various strokes to hit the ball (e.g., drive, cut, pull, hook).
### 8. **Fielding**
- **Positions**: Fielders are strategically placed around the field (e.g., slip, gully, point, mid-off, mid-on).
- **Test Cricket**: Played over five days with each team having two innings.
1. **Toss**: Team captains flip a coin to decide who bats or bowls first.
2. **First Innings**: The team that wins the toss starts batting.
3. **Second Innings**: The other team bats after the first team completes its innings.
4. **Result**: The team with the most runs wins. In case of limited-overs matches, if the scores are tied,
the match might go into a super over.
Cricket requires strategy, teamwork, and skill, both in batting and bowling. Practice and understanding
of the rules enhance the gameplay experience.
