    Meta Certification Exam Sign-up

    If you have successfully completed the 5 previous courses in this program, you are well prepared for
    the Meta Digital Marketing Associate Certification Exam. This Associate level exam covers
    foundational advertising concepts on Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.

    The exam is managed by Meta. It is a proctored exam, which means that a proctor monitors you
    while taking the exam. You can’t consult any outside resources during the exam. To take the exam,
    you need to access the examination platform Meta uses.

    You’ll need access to a laptop or desktop computer, using a Mac or Windows 10 or later
    operating system, with a webcam for 105 Mins, uninterrupted. In addition, you will need a
    strong internet connection.

    Important Note
    You should register for the exam now using the link below. You will most likely need to wait a few
    days before you can take the exam. Use that time to complete the capstone project in this course,
    and to take the Meta practice exam.

    Below, you will find all the information on the examination process. You’ll find another reading in this
    course with the same information so you have it handy when it is time to take the exam.

    Steps to complete to earn the Meta Digital Marketing Associate Certificate


    Step 1: Complete Graded External Tools: Overview of the Certification Exam

    You must complete Graded External Tools: Overview of the Certification Exam before proceeding to
    steps 2 through 5 in order to properly verify your Certification Exam is complete on Coursera. If you
    have already take the certification exam prior to taking this course, please complete Step 1 and
    Step 5 and review the FAQ section below Step 5.

    Step 2: Register and Schedule your exam

    Follow this link to get started: Certification Exam registration page on Meta.

     First, you’ll be asked to review and agree to the policy and NDA for the exam (required prior
    to scheduling). Once you have registered, you will get very detailed instructions on how to
    get ready for the exam.
     Find a 105 mins block of time when you can take the exam uninterrupted. The total time for
    your scheduled exam session is 105 minutes, which includes sign-in and 90 minutes to
    complete the 60-question exam. Please arrive or sign in 15-30 minutes prior to your exam
    start time so that you can take your test as planned.
     Schedule your exam

    Once you have scheduled your exam, you will get an email from Meta with more instructions for
    preparing for your exam and what to expect on the day of your exam. Please review these
    instructions carefully.
    Step 3: Download the exam software

    Prepare for your exam by downloading the necessary software:

    Follow this link to find the instructions for downloading the software: ‘Go To Training’ (GTT) and Safe
    Exam Browser (SEB) download - Mac Users - PC Users

    Note: You will need to have access to a computer to download the software as it does not work on
    mobile devices. It is a good idea to download this software well before you taking your exam.

    Step 4: Take your exam

     Launch SEB (software you downloaded in step 4)


     The GTT session will launch simultaneously with the SEB
     The proctor will verify your identity (please have a valid government issued ID ready)
     Launch the exam (duration 105 mins - 15 minutes for sign-in and 90 minutes to take the 60-
    question exam)
     Take the survey about your experience that follows the exam

    Step 5: Complete Graded External Tools: Initiate Certification Exam Verification

    Before beginning Step 5, you must complete Steps 1-4. Then, navigate to Graded External Tools:
    Initiate Certification Exam Verification and complete the steps to verify you have successfully
    completed your exam and receive your certificate. Note: it may take up to 48 hours to verify your
    exam status.

    Receive your Badges


    If you receive a passing grade on the Meta certification exam, you have successfully completed the
    first 5 courses in this program and you have passed your capstone project in this course, you’ll have
    earned your Coursera Certificate as well as your Meta Certification Badge.

    After submitting your capstone project in this course, you’ll be asked to verify the results of your
    Meta Digital Marketing Associate exam. Upon completion of both these items, you’ll be awarded the
    certification badges within 48 hours.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam?

    If you do not pass on your first attempt, you can retake the exam. Only one retake is permitted
    through this process, subsequent retakes must be scheduled through PearsonVue here and will cost
    $50 each. A five day waiting period is required between re-examination.
    I have already taken and passed this exam before, do I have to take it again?

    If you already have Digital Marketing Associate Certification, you don’t need to take the exam again.
    You must complete Step 1 above, then go through all the modules in this course, skip taking the
    exam and your Meta certification will automatically be recognized during the verification step later in
    this course (based on your Meta User ID).

    What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my exam time?

    If you have to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours before your exam session.
    Otherwise, this absence will count as an exam attempt.
