    A BILL
    To prohibit the Federal Communications Commission from
    promulgating or enforcing rules regarding disclosure of
    AI-generated content in political TV and radio advertise-
    ments.

    1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-


    2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
    3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Ending FCC Meddling


    5 in Our Elections Act’’.

    1 SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS

    2 COMMISSION RULES REGARDING DISCLO-

    3 SURE OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT IN POLIT-

    4 ICAL TV AND RADIO ADVERTISEMENTS.

    5 (a) DEFINITION.—In this section, the term ‘‘rule’’


    6 has the meaning given the term in section 804 of title 5,
    7 United States Code.
    8 (b) PROHIBITION.—The Federal Communications
    9 Commission may not promulgate or enforce any rule—
    10 (1) relating to the draft notice of proposed rule-
    11 making circulated by the Chairwoman of the Com-
    12 mission on May 22, 2024, regarding disclosure of
    13 the use of artificial intelligence-generated content in
    14 political advertisements on television and radio; or
    15 (2) that is substantially similar to a rule de-
    16 scribed in paragraph (1).
