    These 6 new galaxies (seen 500 to 800 million years after the
    Big Bang) discovered by the James Webb Space Telescope
    are located at extreme distances in the universe, suggesting
    that they formed shortly after the Big Bang. These
    observations, which call into question our knowledge of galaxy
    formation and established cosmological models, have sparked
    intense debate within the scienti c community. Indeed, the
    presence of such mature and massive galaxies so early in the
    universe's history de es previous expectations that galaxy
    formation would have required a much longer time span.
    Astronomers have been surprised by the size and maturity of
    these galaxies, which seem to contradict predictive models.
    However, some experts point out that these discoveries are
    based on rough estimates of the galaxies' ages, which could
    James Webb Space Telescope, successor to the Hubble
    Space Telescope
    in uence the conclusions drawn. Despite these controversies,
    the James Webb Space Telescope continues to open up new
    perspectives in our understanding of the universe, enabling us
    to observe cosmic phenomena previously inaccessible from Earth. Its enormous collecting power and
    sophisticated infrared instruments offer unique opportunities to explore the origins of the universe, the formation of
    galaxies, and other fundamental aspects of cosmology and astronomy. So, while these discoveries may challenge
    our current conceptions, they also represent a signi cant advance in our quest to understand the mysteries of
    the universe.
