(REPEAT I,II,II)

First Reading Is 52:7-10

The invitation to “break out together in song,” originally addressed to the exiles before they
returned to Jerusalem, is addressed to us today. God’s gifts of salvation and peace are offered to all in
Jesus Christ.

Reader: (Janine France Josol)

A proclamation form the Book of the Prophet Isaiah

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings
announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, “ Your God
is King!”
Hark! Your sentinels raise cry, together they shout for joy, for they see directly, before
their eyes, the Lord restoring Zion. Break out together in song, O ruins of Jerusalem!
For the Lord comforts his people, he redeems Jerusalem. The Lord has bared his arm in
the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God.
The Word of the Lord!

All- Thanks be to God!

Responsorial Psalm: Ps 98 (Jaeven Matthew Josol)

Response- All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God!
 Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done wondrous deeds, his right hand has won
victory for him, his holy arm. (R)
 The Lord has made his salvation known: in the sight of the nations he has revealed his
justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of
Israel. (R)
 All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the
Lord, all you lands; break into song; sing praise! (R)
 Sing praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song. With
trumpets and the sound of the horn, sing joyfully before the King, the Lord! ( R)
2nd Reading: Heb 1:1-6
Here is a beautiful synthesis of all that we believe about Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of
God who became a human being for our salvation .

Reader: (Jmee Michelle Josol)

A proclamation form the Letter to the Hebrews
Brothers and sisters: In times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our
ancestors through the prophets. In these last days, he has spoken to us through the Son, whom
he made heir of all things and through whom he created the universe.
He is the refulgence of God’s glory, the very imprint of his being and who sustains all
things by his mighty word. When he had accomplished purification from sins, he took his seat at
the right hand of the Majesty on high, as far superior to the angels as the name he has inherited
is more excellent than heirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say: You are my son; this day I have begotten
you”? Or again: “ I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me”? And again, when he
leads the firstborn into the world, he says: “ Let all the angels of God worship him.”
The Word of the Lord!

All- Thanks be to God!

Gospel Acclamation
All- Alleluia! Alleluia!

Gospel Reading: Jn. 1: 1-5, 9-14(Fr. Marbendear Morallas)

The “prologue” of St. John’s Gospel emphasizes that the man Jesus Christ, who was born of
the Virgin Mary, is the Eternal Word of God who “was with God from the beginning.” He comes to
reveal to us the love of the Father and to enable us to become God’s adopted children.
Priest - The Lord be with you!
All - And with your spirit!
Priest- A proclamation from the holy Gospel according to John.
All- Glory to you, O Lord!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He
was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing
came to be.
What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race. The
light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the
world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. He came to what
was his own, but his own people did not accept him.
But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who
believe in his name, who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice noy by a
man’s decision but of God.
And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the
glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
The Gospel of the Lord!
All- Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

Homily
(Fr. Marbendear Morallas)
Profession of Faith
All - I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible
and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all
ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial
with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down
from heaven, (bow) *and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.*
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death was buried, and rose again on the
third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of
the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no
end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the
Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe on one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the
forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen!

R- It is right and just.

P- God, our loving Father, we are glad to give you thanks and praise because you love us. With Jesus
We sing your praise:
All say: Glory to God in the highest or Hosanna in the highest.
P- Because you love us, you gave us this great and beautiful world. With Jesus we sing your praise.

All say: Glory to God in the highest or Hosanna in the highest.

P- Because you love us, you sent Jesus your Son to bring us to you and to gather us around him as the
Children of one family. With Jesus we sing your praise:
All say: Glory to God in the highest or Hosanna in the highest.
P- For such great love we thank you with the Angels and Saints as they praise you and sing :
All say: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.
(The Priest, with hands extended, says:)
P- Blessed be Jesus whom you sent to be the friend of children and of the poor.
He came to show us
How we can love you, Father, by loving one another. He came to take away sin, which keeps us from
being friends, and hate which makes us all unhappy.

He promised to send the Holy Spirit, to be with us always so that can live as your children.
All say: Blessed is he who come in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
P- (He joins his hands and, holding them extended over the offerings, says:
God our Father, we now ask you to send your Holy Spirit to change these gifts of bread and wine
P- (He joins his hands and, makes the Sign of the Cross, says: once over the bread and the chalice
together, saying:?
Into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
(In the formulas that follow, the words of the Lord should be pronounced clearly and distinctly, as the
nature of these words requires)
P- The night before he died, Jesus your Son showed us how much you love us.
When he was at supper with his disciples,

(He takes the bread and, holding it slightly raised above the altar, continue:

P- He took bread, and gave you thanks and praise. Then he broke the bread, gave it to his friends ; said
(He bows slightly.)
P- TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

P- (He shows the consecrated host to the people while all say😊

Jesus has given his life for us.

P- (He places the consecrated host on the paten, and genuflects in adoration.) After this, he continues:
When supper was ended,
P- (He takes the chalice and holding it slightly raised above the altar, continues:)
Jesus took the cup that was filled with wine. He thanked you, gave it to his friends, and said:
P- (He bows slightly)
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU AND DRINK FROM IT,
FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
P- (He shows the chalice to the people while all say:)
Jesus has given his life for us.
(The priest continues)
Then he said to them:
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
(He places the chalice on the corporal, and genuflects in adoration. Then the Priest, with hands
Extended, says:
And so, loving Father, we remembered that Jesus died and rose again to save the world.
He put himself into our hands to be the sacrifice we offer you.
All say:
We praise you, we bless you, we thank you.
(The Priest says:)
Lord our God, listen to our prayer. Send the Holy Spirit to all of us who share in this meal.
May this spirit bring us closer together in the family of the Church, with Francis, our Pope,
our Bishop,

all other Bishops, and all who serve your people.

All say:
We praise you, we bless you, we thank you.

P- Remember, Father, our families and friends, and all those we do not love as we should.
Remember those who have died.

Bring them home to you

To be with you for ever.
All say:
We praise you, we bless you, we thank you.
P- Gather us all together into your kingdom. There we shall be happy for ever with the Virgin Mary,
Mother of God and our mother. There all the friends of Jesus the Lord will sing a song of Joy.
All say:
We praise you, we bless you, we thank you.
(He joins his hands, takes the chalice and the paten with the host and, raising both, he says:
P- Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
All glory and honor is yours, for ever and ever.
All- Amen

Priest: Pray, brethren….

All- May the lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name,
for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

Prayer over the Offerings

Priest- Make acceptable, O Lord, our oblation on this solemn day, when you manifested the
reconciliation that make us wholly pleasing in your sight and inaugurated for us the fullness of
divine worship. Through Christ our Lord.
All- Amen!

Preface of Christmas II

P- The Lord be with you!

All - And with your spirit!
P- Lift up your hearts!
All- We lift them up to the Lord!
P- Let us give thanks to the Lord our God!
All- It is right and just!

P- It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord,
holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
For on the feast of this awe-filled mystery, though invisible in his own divine nature, he has appeared
visibly in ours; and begotten before all ages, he has begun to exist in time; so that, raising up in
himself all that was cast down, he might restore unity to all creation and call straying humanity back to
the heavenly Kingdom.
And so, with all the Angels, we praise you, as in joyful celebration we acclaim:
All- Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the
highest! Blesses is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
