Scope of Works for Cane Preparation for Offseason 2024
Main Cane Carrier works
1. Chain & Slats
a. Dismantling of chains and slats assembly.
b. Disassemble Pin, Roller and Bushings of conveying chain #09065 and replace with new
c. Ones.
d. Installation of new slats, bolts, washers matching with the four strands chain-link
designed with K-2 attachments.
2. Head Shaft
a. Pull-out whole head shaft assembly, extract and recondition 74T gear:
b. Install cover at new head shaft assembly after inspection.
c. Mounting of new bearings with required clearances and insertion of 74T gear.
d. Cleaning and reconditioning of intermediate shaft, replace drive 74T gear and service
bearings, replace if found defective.
e. Repacking of bearings of 2 roller idlers.
3. Tail Shaft
a. Pull-out and recondition of tail shaft bearings and its housing of both sides.
b. Pull-out, repair/replace the flight 7-1/2" diameter and reinstallation of dirt screw
conveyor.
c. Replace drive sprockets & chain of the dirt screw conveyor.
4. Shredded Cane Elevator
a. Pull-out and recondition of head shaft and tail shaft assembly, build-up sprockets & tail.
Drum, and service all bearings, replace if found defective.
b. Structural repair of sidewalls, flooring, replace plastic runners, installation of two rubber
belt curtains.
c. Installation of reconditioned head shaft, tail shaft assembly and assembled conveying
Chains with slats.
5. Heavy Duty Shredder Unit
a. Pull-out, build-up & reinstall anvil.
b. Repair of hood, sidewalls, and seal rings.
c. Check shredder rotor & bearings.
d. Dismantle and assemble of pins and hammers.
e. Check of extension shaft assembly and lubrication lines.
f. Repair and build-up deflector T-bar.
6. Feed Drum
a. Service feed drum and recondition of drive.
b. Service and repack bearings, replace if found defective.
c. Repair thinned-out plate of drum casing & build-up drum grid bars.
d. Install drum assembly, cover and seal rings,
7. Carding Drum #1 and #2
a. Service Carding drums #1 & #2, recondition of drives.
b. Repair and repack bearings, replace if necessary.
c. Repair & build-up of tines.
8. MCC Structural Works
a. Check existing forward/top runners (wood and plastic), replace if needed.
b. Check of I-beam (4-1/8" & 4") and replace 10mm thick. Spring steel wearing pad welding
At the top of the beam as runners of the four strand conveying chains.
c. Replace new plastic runners with supports below carding drum #1 & #2, feed drum and.
flat portion of MCC.
d. Realignment and repair of MCC walls from head shaft to tail shaft to fit the 83-1/4" slats
considering the 3/8" wearing side bar on both walls.
e. Check and replace if necessary of 10mm X 3" X 3" angle bar as slats side guards at
both sides and bolted on walls every 3ft.
f. Replace thinned-out MCC walls using 1⁄2" thick M.S. plate including wall studs.
9. Dirt Removal System
a. Repair and replace new set of stationary and rotating brush and recondition of drive
assembly including bearings and drive pedestals.
b. Elevate the screw conveyor assembly by 12" and adjust dirt chute collector and install
flared discharge at SCE Tail Shaft rear wall. See drawing details.
10. Auxiliary Cane Carrier
a. Remove 40 slats at upper section.
b. Clean, de-rusting and painting of beams and column.
c. Repair/replace spring steel runner.
d. Repair idler rollers, build up drums and shafts.
e. Replace defective idler and bearings.
f. Remove chains and slats at head shaft and tail shaft.
g. Rust proof painting of head shaft and tail shaft.
h. Build-up of head shaft and tail shaft sprocket.
i. Structural repair of walls, beams and columns.
j. Repair of conveyor idlers.
k. Service outboard bearings.
l. Install back conveyor chains and drive gears.
m. m. Repair defective slats.
n. n. Clean/check chains and drive gears.
o. o. Cleaning & repainting of walls.
p. p. Remove/haul accumulated dirt.
q. q. Replace all thin conveying slats b and replace all slat cap screws.
r. r. Realign drive vs. Driven gear of acc.
s. Install bottom angle guard of conveying chain slats.
t. t. Replace ACC conveying chain.
u. u. Repair of mud drag conveyor
11. Truck tipper
a. Pull-out and check pivot pins and brass bushing.
b. Structural repair of platform, flooring, railings and roofing.
c. De-rusting and painting of platforms and railings.
d. Repair of railings including the railings at auxiliary cane carrier dumping area.
e. Repair of dump truck stopper.
f. Housekeeping and repainting.
g. Cleaning of tipper PH area.
12. Cane unloaders
a. Pull out pipes, stopper bars and brass bushing.
b. Machining of bushings.
c. Straightening bent pipes (8 pcs).
d. Repair rake assembly.
e. Install brass bushing (16 pcs.)
f. Realign sheave pulley vs. Rake assembly.
g. Check and repair drive chain, wire ropes and drives.
h. Repair flange coupling and replace bolt and bushing.
i. Install pipe runners.
j. Reinforce staging/flooring of cane unloader #1 and #2.
13. Loaded car puller
a. Remove conveyor chains.
b. Repair and build-up head shaft and tail shaft assembly.
c. Repair of structural and frames.
d. d., Check, repair and replace brass bearings.
e. Open, clean and check intermediate drive bearings.
f. Service drive pinion gear, replace if needed.
g. Install drive motor and reducer with hydraulic coupling.
h. Install intermediate shafting, drive chain and gears.
i. Assemble new conveying chain and pusher.
j. Install cover, housekeeping and painting.
k. Pull-out and replace with new RGU.
14. Winch no.1 and no. 2
a. Disassemble parts.
b. b., Repair of defective parts.
c. Assist removal of gears, drums and accessories.
d. Assist in assembly of gears, drums and accessories.
e. Assemble parts including alignment of drive.
f. Application of lubrication and testing of machines.
