Activity

 Evidence-Based Component: "Mirror Exercise" where students look into a mirror and

write down positive affirmations about themselves on sticky notes. Norton (2022) state

that this exercise is based on research showing that positive affirmations can help build

self-esteem and reduce negative self-talk.

 Creative Component: Students create a "Strengths Shield" by drawing a shield and

filling it with symbols or words representing their strengths and accomplishments.

Discussion Questions

1. Why is it important to have healthy self-esteem?

Activity

 Evidence-Based Component: "SMART Goals" activity for students to develop specific,

measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals. According to goal-setting theory,

clear and achievable goals are essential (Burik, 2021).

 Creative Component: Students create a "Motivation Board" filled with motivational

quotes, images, and their personal goals to serve as a visual reminder of what drives

them.

3. What strategies can you use to stay motivated when you face challenges?
