Osakunnan kirjallisissa kilpailuissa kolmantena palkintona 75 Smk,
on tammikuussa 1903 ollut nurkkanovellina painettuna eräässä
pääkaupunkimme suurimmista suomenkielisistä sanomalehdistä. Nyt
kertomus ilmestyy hiukan muutettuna ja parannettuna.
Oliko todellakin tuo kurja olento entinen Mumin Argad? Vaikea oli
uskoa sitä, ja kuitenkin hän ulkomuodoltaan oli sama, joskin
miehistynyt, ja viimeisenkin epäilyksen oli omiansa poistamaan
hänen lapsuudesta saakka viallinen vasen kätensä. Ihan pienenä
poikasena hän on tapaturmaisesti kadottanut siitä peukalon, ja
poissa se nytkin on.
