* The temperatures indicated in this document are valid for an oil ISO-L-CKC150, if the ambient temperature
requires the use of an oil ISO-L-CKC220 (see TD03-B012), the temperature values below must be increased

in TD03-B012.

|- OPERATING DESCRIPTION

A) Normal operating mode

A-1) Immersion heaters

Authorization for preheating can be started with a switch or a clock

When the temperature in the lubrication tankis less than 20°C*, the immersion heaters are started up. When the
temperature reaches 25°C* the heaters are put out of operation.

The immersion heaters must not operate in the following cases:

- Lubricating tank oil level fault

- Return temperature > 45°C*
- Air fan cooler operation
- Tank temperature sensors fault

A-2) Fan cooler

This only operates if the lubrication motor-driven pump is running and the return oil temperature exceeds 45°C.
When the return oil temperature falls to 35°C* or when the lubrication motor driven pump stops, the air fan cooler
stops.

A-3) Lubrication motor-driven pump, crusher and feed device

A-3-1 - Start-up conditions for the lubrication motor-driven pump

- Starting order
- Downstream authorization (discharge device operates under crusher)
- Temperature in tank > 20°C*
- No lubricating tank oil level fault
- No countershaft pressure fault
- No temperature sensors fault

B) Winter operating mode

This operating mode permits to maintain the lubricating circuit (lubrication pipes and crusher) at an
appropriate temperature during cold period when the crusher is not in operation. The tank temperature is
maintained between 20°C* and 25°C* in the tank and the oil lubrication pump motor is running.

B-1) intermittent winter mode

This mode has to be activated if the ambient temperature < 0°C for a oil 1SO-L-CKC150 (or < 10°C for a oil
1SO-L-CKC220) and resetted if the ambient temperature >5°C for a oil ISO-L-CKC150 (or >15°C for a oil 1SO-L-
CKC220)

B-1-1 - Immersion heaters

Same as normal operating mode. See Chapter A-1.

B-1-2 - Lubrication motor-driven pump

Lubrication motor-driven pump is running 10 minutes every 30 minutes if:
- Crusher is stopped
- Temperature in tank > 20°C*
- No lubricating tank oil level fault
- No countershaft pressure fault
- No tank temperature sensor fault
- Don't use blower in winter operating mode

B-2) Continues winter mode

This mode has to be activated if the ambient temperature < -15°C for a oil ISO-L-CKC150 (or < -5°C for a oil
1SO-L-CKC220) and resetted if the ambient temperature >-10*C for a oil ISO-L-CKC150 (or >0°C for a oil 1SO-L-
CKC220)

B-2-1 - Immersion heaters

Same as normal operating mode. See Chapter A-1.

B-2-2 - Lubrication motor-driven pump

Lubrication motor-driven pump is running continuously.
See conditions chapter B-1-2

B-3) Remarks

If the winter mode cannot be implemented or if there was a inopportune stopping of winter mode and that
ambient temperature is <0°C for a oil ISO-L-CKC150 (or < 10°C for a oil ISO-L-CKC220), then the lubrication pipes
and the lubrication components have to be heated before start the lubrication motor-driven pump to heat the full
circuit at a temperature >0°C for a oil 1SO-L-CKC150 (or >10°C for a oil 1SO-L-CKC220).

If the ambient temperature is < -15°C, it is a obligatory to install a heating system of all the hydraulic circuits
(accumulators / cylinders/ hoses / hydraulic plate) to maintain a temperature at least 0°C in the hydraulic circuits.

II- FAULTS EXPLANATION

1) Lubricating tank oil level fault

The tank oil level switch open during 2 sec. causes "tank oil level fault"
2) Countershaft pressure fault
After 10 sec. of motor-driven pump operation the countershaft pressure switch open causes "countershaft
pressure fault".
After 10 sec. of motor-driven pump stop, if the countershaft pressure switch is close causes "countershaft
pressure fault".
3) Hydraulic faults
a) Hydraulic release fault
The release pressure switch open during 10 sec. causes "hydraulic release fault".
b) Hydraulic clamping fault
The clamping pressure switch open during 20 sec. causes "hydraulic clamping fault".
4) Maximum temperature fault
If return temperature > 65°C* causes "Maximum temperature fault". When the return temperature falls to 55°C*
the fault can be resetted.
5) Motor equipment fault (1 for each motor equipment fault)
For Heater equipment, lubrication motor-driven pump motor equipment, air fan cooler motor equipment, blower
motor equipment, crusher motor equipment
When there is disjunction (thermal and magnetic fault).
6) Over current fault
The crusher motor current must be supervised. During the starting the security level depends on the motor and
starter used. After the end of start-up crusher motor, if current is superior at 110% of rated current during 10
seconds causes "over current fault.
7) Starter fault
Depend of type of starter used
8) Temperature sensor fault
a) The amperage given by the tank temperature sensor is inferior at 1 mA causes “Tank temperature sensor
fault” (breaking cable or temperature sensor faulty).
b) The amperage given by the return temperature sensor is inferior at 1 mA causes “Return temperature sensor
fault” (breaking cable or temperature sensor faulty).
c) The amperage given by the ambient temperature sensor is inferior at 1 mA causes “ambient temperature
sensor fault” (breaking cable or temperature sensor faulty).
9) Hydraulic oil level fault
The oil level switch in hydraulic unit is used just for display and is not interlocked with the crusher.
But, this fault has to be stop the hydraulic motor-driven pump.
10) Hydraulic pump operation time fault
If the hydraulic pump operation time is superior to the maximum hydraulic pump operation time
then it causes ” Hydraulic pump operation time fault”. This fault has to be stop the hydraulic motor-driven
pump.
Maximum hydraulic pump time for HP100-HP200-HP300 = 20 minutes
Maximum hydraulic pump time for HP400-HP500 =45 minutes
11) Emergency stop fault
Emergency stop must stop all the motors.
12) Ambient temperature fault
If the ambient temperature is < -30°C causes ambient temperature fault. When the ambient temperature >-28*C,
ambient temperature fault is resetted.

13) Oil flow fault (if the crusher is equipped with oil flow sensor)
If the flow is insufficient, switch of the flow sensor opened causes oil flow fault.

All these faults (1 and 13) must be memorized and erased by the operator if the cause of the fault has disappeared.

14) Excessive current fault

After the start-up of the crusher current motor current superior at 100% of rated current during 10 seconds
causes "Excessive current" fault and stop the feeder. When the crusher current is below 90% during 5 sec, restart
the feeder authorization.
15) Excessive temperature
Return temperature > 60°C causes “Excessive temperature fault”. When the return temperature falls to 55°C
“Excessive temperature fault” is reset.
16) Clogging lubrication filter fault
The clogging filter switch is used just for display and is not interlocked with the crusher. This fault does not cause
the stopped of the lubrication pump group and does not prevent the operation of the lubrication pump group.
17) Clogging hydraulic filter fault
The clogging filter switch is used just for display and is not interlocked with the crusher. This fault does not cause
the stopped of the hydraulic pump group and does not prevent the operation of the hydraulic pump group.
