Why Vault Capital

My interest in joining Vault Capital stems from my involvement with my family's Chandni Chowk

company. Because of the nature of wholesale margins, we run a saree business that generates

large sales but very small profits. I realized over time that we weren't making the most of our

financial potential while we were only spinning money in conventional markets.

An example demonstrates my drive. For seven crores, my family was thinking of buying a 125

square yard land in Saket. I suggested an alternative strategy: using two crores of that sum over the

course of 1.5 years to invest in high-potential businesses. I was certain that this might provide five

times returns?much more than what we would get from an investment in real estate, which usually

entails protracted construction and selling times.

Cosmus was one startup that drew my interest, a business aiming to establish a plant in Bihar. With

69 crores in yearly sales, they could have saved a significant amount of money by producing

in-house instead of using a third party, about 10 INR each bag. With our vast network and

commercial acumen in Delhi, I perceived a special chance to take use of our connections and grow

the company tremendously. I also looked at other interesting startups, such as Jarvis, Spiritzone,

and Bummer.

Because of their cautious financial attitude, my family decided against investing in real estate,

despite my excitement and the strategic potential I saw. When it comes to initial investments, they

would rather have the stability of addition and subtraction than the dynamic potential of multiplication

and division.
