Language item: Vocabulary Learning objectives : By the end of the lesson,pupils should be able to ; understand the key words taught by matching them to the correct meanings at least 4 out of 5 correctly. answer questions based on the story at least 3 out of 4 correctly. make small words from the big word given as many as they can.

Teaching and learning activities 1. Teacher divides pupils into groups. 2. Teacher pastes a picture of a pair of shoes on the board and distributes a word card of the parts of the shoes to each group. 3. In groups,pupils guess the part of shoes that matches their word cards. 4. A pupil from each group matches the word card to the picture one by one. 5. Teacher reveals the answers. 6. Teacher distributes handouts that contained words related to the story to the pupils. 7. Pupils have to tick words that they know. - Shoemaker - enough - Elves - sweaters - workroom 8.
