Firewall - The SAP server must be behind the stateful inspection AnexGATE Firewall . any public IP given to the server should be NATTED on the firewall . this would prevent server exposure to the internet world and secure against any outside intrusion to the SAP server . 2. IDS /IPS - The Built in IDS/IPS should be enabled in AnexGATE . intrusion reports should be enabled to check for unique signatures of attacks that are coming on your SAP server . you should check for any DDOS attacks or Sql Buffer overflow attacks and take action on securing your databases with the latest patches available from the vendors .

Remote or global branches can be connected to the SAP application by using IPSEC VPN connectivity which gives 168 bit encryption for your data transfer over internet . 4. DMZ - The SAP servers should be kept the DMZ zone of the AnexGATE appliance and unsecured access to the DMZ zone should be blocked on AnexGATE . only valid users should be allowed to connect to SAP from the local LAN . 5.Web Services - All the web Services on the SAP server should be protected by enabling secured port access via NATTING on the AnexGATE appliance ensuring complete logging and reports of the web portal usage over the internet .

    6.
