and downloading from Microsoft's web site.

The release of Windows Vista comes more than five

years after the introduction of its predecessor, Windows

Comparing Xp V/S Vista
 Compare installation phase

 In Windows XP, the system prompts for user information, CD-

Key, and other information etc. after the process of copying
files is done.

 In Windows Vista, it will ask for information such as computer

name, CD-Key before the copying process.

 Windows installation Process

 Installer can install Win XP with a formatted partition of FAT32

file system!

 One cannot install Windows Vista in drives formatted using

FAT32 file systems! Installer needs the HDD formatted as
NTFS.
The Shocking news
Microsoft had softly announced the shocking news, in which
it announced that, it is going to discontinue the sales of Windows
XP at the end of January 2008. This means there will be no license
issued for major hardware corporates such as Dell, HP, HCL, and
Toshiba, etc. to market the sales of Windows XP. These hardware
corporates have now, the only choice to install Windows Vista in
their customer’s PC.
