FULL FLOATING, IN-LINE TANDEM TYPE
InTER-AXLE DIFFERENTIAL
the wheel is supported by
the axle housing through two wheel
bearings (tapered rollers) on each side.
Bending moment produced by vertical,
transverse and lengthwise loads from
the wheel is supported entirely by the
axle housing. The axle shaft transmits
driving force, and receives only the torsional
moment produced by driving force.
This structure is suitable for medium and
heavy-duty vehicles. The axle shaft can be dismounted and re-
mounted more easily than with the other types of rear axles.
