AIM OF THE STUDY

This academic document aimed to


identify the efficiency of situated learning
approach on the level of competencies of
Grade 12 Students.
Competencies should be acquire and embodied of our
functional future nation builders by means of
education. However, learners do have different ways
on how they able to learn and be capacitated of salient
things top become an effective as well as productive
Juan Dela Cruz.
In the Multiple Intelligence Theory of Howard Gardner,
affirmed that everybody is unique and smart, but
varying in forms. In order to improve the quality of
education---WE---educators should acknowledge the
different needs and interests of our students. With
this, the researcher has initiated an action to address
the abilities of students and even to enhance their
innate competencies they have had for the
effectiveness on a particular endeavor.
Competencies of students are not only acquired inside
the four corners of the classroom, but also they can
attain those competencies by an application of
knowledge and skills on a physical and social context.
By then, students are challenge to immerse themselves
for the sustainable development and growth of various
competencies they possess.
Based on the observation of the researcher, problem
exists upon the absorption of needed competencies if
the process of acquisition happens inside the
classroom. The attainment of competencies is gradual
and can take a long period of time. With this, in order
to easily grasp those required competencies by the
agency, the researcher believed that students must
engaged themselves in a real-world context also known
as situated learning approach.
SUMMARY…
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This study aimed to determine the helpfulness of
situated learning approach on the level of
competencies of Grade 12 student trainees in Bautista
National High School Senior High School, Bautista,
Pangasinan.
Specifically, it sought to answer the following question:
1.What is the level of competencies of the students
before work immersion through situated learning
approach?
2.What is the level of competencies of the students
after work immersion through situated learning
approach?
3.Is there a significant difference between the level of
performance of the respondents before and after work
immersion through situated learning approach?
Salient Findings
Upon the completion of this study,
imperative findings should be drawn: It could be
glean that after the intervention, there was increase
on the level of their competencies. It means that
situated learning approach can help improve and
sharpen the competencies of student trainees.
More so, there were positive modifications on their
level of competencies before and after the said
treatment. Therefore, in accordance from the
computed value, significant difference was noted
between the level of performance (pre-test and
post test scores) to their engagement of the said
interference.
