TABLE NAPKIN
• a small piece of table linen that is
used to wipe the mouth and to cover
the lap in order to protect clothing.
• A folded napkin is placed on the table
for the guest’s use to contribute to the
presentation of the cover and the
whole dining environment.
• The way in which the napkin is
presented depends on the types of
establishment and the type of service
• It is an advantage if napkin folds are
kept simple, as less handling is
involved. However, some
establishments require more
elaborate folds for aesthetic reasons.
