Introduction :-
 Addiction is defined as a chronic, relapsing
disorder characterised by compulsive drug
seeking , continued use despite harmful
consequences, and long lasting changes in
the brain. It consider both a complex brain
disorder and a mental illness.
 Drug addiction is a condition in which any
person believe that sense of well being is
achieved only through drug taken.
INTRODUCTION

 Drug addiction is a complex


neurobiological disease that requires
integrated treatment of the mind body and
spirit.

3. Social Environment
4. Genetics
5. Mental Health Disorder
6. Peer Pressure
7. Lack of Family Involvement
Symptoms of Drug Addiction :

 Feeling that you have to use the drug


regularly –daily or even several times a day.

 Spending money on the drug, even though


you can’t afford it.

 Doing things to get the drug that you


normally wouldn’t do, such as stealing.
Effects of Drug Addiction :-

 Stimulants

Problems in drug addiction :-

 Problems at school College or work.

 PhysicalHealth issue:- Lack of Energy

clothing grooming or looks.

 A focus on understanding the nature of
addiction becoming drug-free and
preventing relapse.

depending on your needs, such as
outpatient residential and inpatient
programs.

treat withdrawl symptoms or deliver skill
training.
