Elements of Civil Suit
1. Cause of action : it is basically a bundle of certain
facts, in which one fact will be existence of legal
right and other fact will be that such right is
violated.
Example: A worked under contract for salary, salary is
not given hence his legal right is violated.

proving or disproving the COA is matter in issue.

3. Subject Matter: It is a reason for dispute between
parties. It can be with respect to :
Property right: ownership, easement, lease etc.
Personal right: reputation, speech, life etc.

4. Title:
1. It is the legal relationship of a party to the subject
matter of Suit.
2. Legal capacity under which the party claims his
legal right.

Application : Applicant & Respondent

Relief: outcome or claim by the party.
