    SYNOPSIS OF THE
    MOVIE
    Michael Stone is a well-known
    motivational speaker and author
    who specializes in company
    customer service. Michael, on
    the other hand, is not very
    inspired in his own life, and he
    has a problem with people who,
    in his perception, all seem to be
    the same person with the same
    voice, including his wife Donna
    and their adolescent son Henry.
    He's just arrived in Cincinnati,
    where he'll be speaking at a
    conference, and he's hoping to
    reconnect with an old flame named
    Bella who lives there, in the hopes
    of making amends for the way they
    split up and finding the bright
    light he's been searching for in
    another individual. Their meeting
    was a disaster that proved nothing.
    He meets Emily and Lisa, two
    women who will be attending his
    seminar at the meeting, while
    alone and lonely in his hotel room.
    Michael is interested in learning
    more about Lisa because her voice
    distinguishes her from the rest of
    the people. Despite the fact that she
    has a scar on her forehead, he is
    attracted to her. Michael had
    nightmares every night that all
    people are a disguise of 1 person.
    The next day, Michael was having
    hallucinations about changes in
    Lisa's voice when they were happily
    together, and he thought Lisa was
    one of the same people. Long term
    after the conference is over and
    they return to their respective lives.
    PSYCHIATRIC DISORDER IN
    THE FILM
    Upon further research, I have read in an
    article made by the author of the movie
    that Michael Stone has a disorder named
    Fregoli Syndrome. In the film, the main
    actor named Michael Stone is having
    delusions that all the people are one
    person and all people have the same
    voices including his wife and family
    members. The Fregoli delusion is a rare
    disorder in which a person holds a
    delusional belief that different people are
    in fact a single person who changes
    appearance or is in disguise. The
    syndrome may be related to a brain
    lesion.
