Govt. norms based planning is critical for

ensuring expenditure is done at
district/block level with ease
1. Training load calculation (Health, ICDS,
Steps for AMB – Education) for the current FY
Training Planning

2. Proposal for adequate funds through NHM -

PIP

3. Batch-wise training plan

Training usually of 1 day each

4. Funds approval received from NHM – ROP &
balance through State funds

5. Initiate ToT at State, district, block trainings

RoP : Record of Proceedings / NHM
Funds approval document
Things to remember …
• Involve State Program Manager (NHM-SPM), EDUCATION & ICDS since INCEPTION (Day
zero) … : its easier to negotiate for funds and orient
• Denominator based planning : Double check for realistic denominators
• 3 key depts. Is minimum : Health, Education, ICDS
• At State level : Involve dept. under Health like NVBDCP/Malaria, Fluorosis,
Haemoglobinopathies, HMIS, RBSK, Child, Adol., Maternal, Family Planning etc.
• Involve Partners (Development Partners, NGOs/CSOs at state & districts, academia – Medical
Clg, Nutrition Clg), local chapters like IMA, IAP, FOGSI, IDA : Divide districts for resource
persons among partners as well as to monitor quality of training
• Standard AMB package in local language is critical for QUALITY training.
• Ppt. in Hindi, training module in Hindi, Small videos : are imp tool
• AMB WhatsApp group (Optional) : A useful tool and platform to disseminate AMB materials,
information, reminders to districts
• At end of State/District/Block TOT : Plan for a tentative date for next level of training. This
helps in following up.
