A STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF FLEXIBLE WORKING ON

EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN - IT SECTOR

PRESENTED BY
AISHWARIA REGHU KUMAR
INTRODUCTION
■ Flexible work means giving your employees more flexibility to choose where, when, or how they work.
Flexible working can help firms attract talent, boost employee job performance, satisfaction and loyalty,
minimise absenteeism, and promote employee well-being, as well as make them more adaptable to change.
Organizations and academics have recently focused on flexible working hours as a family-friendly strategy
and the important aspect is that work needs to be done well. Workplace flexibility can also refer specifically
to regular work arrangements that promote work-life balance. These work arrangements typically
include flexible schedules outside of the traditional 9-to-5. A flexible work environment has many benefits. It
helps workers achieve greater work-life balance, development in job performance and productivity, leading to
increased employee satisfaction and improved morale.
■ Employee performance refers to how well a person performs in their job, completes essential tasks, and acts in
the workplace. It enables people to achieve their maximum potential while also boosting overall performance,
which can improve morale and the quality of work generated. Employees are the driving force behind a
business's success. People who are empowered to be more productive, on the other hand, are free to have a
better work-life balance and have more opportunities for advancement. Taking care of employees' well-being
can be self-fulfilling for business leaders because people who are healthy and happy at work are more likely to
be productive. In order to monitor and manage flexible work arrangements different HR software’s are
becoming more popular as an easy way for employees to record, and managers to track, hours worked.
■ Flexible working hour structures and regulations in all organisations, both private and public, would aid in the
resolution of work-family conflict difficulties. If the job schedule is flexible, all human resource managers
make measures to lessen the burden of their employees as a priority. These concerns will be considerably
alleviated if employees can strike a balance between work and family obligations to the very least. Flexible
working hours are one of the most innovative ideas in human resource management and the business
environment, and they can only come from efficient and successful leaders who grasp the dynamics of the
rapidly changing global business world.
