    This research aims to establish the importance of daylight as a contributing factor in the electronic industry in Chennai, India. The objectives are to 1) analyze daylight factors through quantitative methods like measuring illumination levels and evaluating sufficiency, and 2) analyze qualitative methods like identifying indicators that promote occupant satisfaction. The scope is to enhance worker satisfaction and well-being through optimizing daylight use.     AIM

    The aim of this research is to establish the importance of daylight as a contributing factor
    in electronic industry in order to promote the occupant’s/respondent well being.

    OBJECTIVE
    1. Analysis of daylight factor through quantitative methods:

    a) To measure the illumination level in the industrial workplace through case studies
    ( natural light and artificial light)
    b) To evaluate the daylight illumination level by means of daylight stimulation
    c) To draw inference based on the case study and quantify the sufficiency or the
    otherwise of the illumination level in the workplace
    d) To arrive at the importance of day light as a contributing element to the required
    illumination level
    2. Analysis of daylight factor through qualitative methods:
    a) To identify the major indicators that promotes the occupant daylight satisfaction in
    the industrial workplace
    b) To study the correlation between daylight and respondent’s wellbeing
    3. To arrive at the guidelines for optimizing daylight at industrial workplace.
