What is PUBG?

 PUBG is a digital multiplayer battle brought by Bluehole Corporation. It has drawn a lot of
attention and popularity from people worldwide. Everyone is fond to play this game.
However, the craze for this fabulous game has become a serious concern in the society.
 There are a few gamers who have got addicted to it so much that it gives rise to
development of physical and mental health in gamers.
 According to the recent researches done on this game it has been found that this game
results in both negative and positive effect on players. It becomes very important to
become aware of these effects of PUBG game before you play it.
Positive effect of Pubg

1. Improves alertness and co-ordination

 PUBG is a shooting game where the character might be shooting and running at the same
time. This needs the real-world gamer to track the position of the character, to find where
he or she will be heading, where the ammunition is pointing so that it hits the foe,
matching his speed, searching for the foe as well as saving himself.
 All these factors have to be considered. A player needs to coordinate his reaction and
interpretation of brain with the movement of the fingertips and hands. In this way, playing
PUBG games enhances co-ordination skills in the player.
2. Improve cognitive abilities
 To play and succeed in this game, a player requires better visual-spatial capability and eye-
hand coordination.
 According to research done on the effect of this game, PUBG helps in improving targeting
skills, and thinking abilities in a person.
Negative Effects of Pubg

1. Increases violent tendencies in a person


 PUBG is a shooting game where the gamer uses guns and other ammunition to kill the
enemy. The main aim of the player is to keep a constant track of the enemy and kill him.
PUBG has been inspected as a violent game.
 Due to the excessive violence involved in this game, can cause aggressive emotions,
behavior and thoughts that, in turn, impacts the mental state of a player.
2. It promotes poor physical health.
 Sitting at one place and playing the game for long hours continuously does not do any
good to a person. It harms the overall physical health of a person. One becomes lazy. Also,
constant staring at the computer screen for prolonged time without blinking can even
reduce eyesight and lead to headaches.
3. Affects mental health
 PUBG video game is addictive. It can lead to development of mental disorders in a person.
People who have got addicted to this game finds themselves to get easily stressed out. Due
to less social interaction they suffer from anxiety issues in public setting.

 eSports, also known as e-Sports, egames, or electronic sports is organized competitive


video gaming. It primarily involves teams competing against each other in tournaments for
a cash prize.
 PUBG Mobile Global Championship or the PMGC, the annual international PUBG Mobile
tournament and the highest honor for any esports team or player involved with the game
are back again this year.
 Prize Pool of PMGC For 2022 is $4,000,000 USD
 Skylightz gaming, trained to kill and d real soldiers will be representing Nepal in PMGC
2022.
 Nepali Team has earned $807,169.14 till now by representing Nepal in Pubg.
Government role

 While Nepal Governement has not shown a positive role in esports but Mayor Balen Shah
has shown a positive attitude towards esports.
 Indian government has banned PUBG in India due to privacy reason.
 Chinese Government has shown a positive role and has been supporting esports.
Accident due to PUBG

 Friends Kill Boy Over PUBG Quarrel In Thane


In March this year, three young friends including a 19-year-old boy and two minors, killed
their 20-year-old friend Sahil Jadhav in Thane, Maharashtra following a quarrel over PUBG.
The friends had been known to get into heated quarrels over the multiplayer game. On the fatal
day, the argument went out of hand and the three youth stabbed Sahil multiple times, leaving
him dead on the spot.
14-Year-Old PUBG Addict Kills Family In Pakistan
Earlier in January, a 14-year-old boy shot dead his entire family, including mother and two
minor sisters, allegedly "under the influence" of online game PUBG in Pakistan. Nahid
Mubarak, a 45-year-old health worker, was found dead along with her 22-year-old son Taimur
and two daughters aged 17 and 11 in Lahore's Kahna area last week. Her teenage son who
remained unhurt and is the lone survivor of the family turned out to be the murderer, police
said in a statement.
“The PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) addict boy confessed to have killed her mother
and siblings under the influence of the game. He has developed some psychological issues
because of spending long hours of the day playing the online game,” the statement said.
 Uttarkhand Teen Kills Neighbour Over Game
A 13-year-old boy from Uttarakhand killed his 13-year-old neighbour over a dispute that broke
out over the online game. The incident occurred in June last year. The accused attacked the
victim with a sharp glass object, leading to fatal injuries.
