Short Title: “The Magna Carta of Women”
What is Magna Carta of Women
(R.A. No. 9710)?
The Magna Carta of Women (MCW) is a
comprehensive women’s human rights law that
seeks to eliminate discrimination through the
recognition, protection, fulfillment, and
promotion of the rights of Filipino women,
especially those belonging to the marginalized
sectors of society.

What are the specific responsibilities of
government under Magna Carta of Women?
Philippine
Commission on Overall monitoring and oversight body to ensure the implementation of the law.
Women (PCW)
