HOW A TEACHER FUNCTION AS A MANAGER?

Classroom management ensure the success of learning process. It is the teacher who plays
the main role in planning, organizing, evaluating students' progress, managing problems,
and other things for the learners.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TEACHER TO FUNCTION
AS A MANAGER
1. Planning and Organizing the Flow of the Class Discussion
In classroom management, teachers make a plan with regards to the flow of class discussion which
includes the objectives, lessons, teaching strategies, materials, and evaluation.

2. Giving Directions
In classroom management, teachers give directions to learners in order for them to do the task correctly.

3. TEACHING STUDENTS
In classroom management, teachers teach students the lessons they are needed.
4. CREATING A SAFE AND INTERESTING ENVIRONMENT
In classroom management, teachers create a safe and interesting environment in order to
have a class participation.
5. ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS
Unmet Expectations As a teacher, you have expectations you set from your class. Solution:
You should ask your students what they expect to you and also tell them what do you expect
from them.
6. Evaluating Students
In classroom management, teachers evaluate students through giving tests or activities in
lined with the objectives.
7. Managing Problems
In classroom management, teachers manage problems of the learners both in academics and
their personal lives.
HINDRANCES AND SOLUTIONS

1. Naughty Students Naughty students are distraction. These students are talkative, not
listening, roaming around, and etc.
Solution: Identify the naughty students and keep an eye contact with them throughout the
class hours or discussion.
2. Personalities of the Students There are students who have weak personalities and there
are students who have strong personalities.
Solution: Make a lesson plan that will allow both the students that have strong personalities
and the students that have weak personalities to actively participate.
3. Running Out of Time Teachers often run out of time to discuss lessons and implement
activities that would make the learnings of the student complete.
Solution: You should improve your time management and put a lot of time for lesson
planning.
4. Unsettled and Unprepared Students Usually every morning, students tend to talk to their
classmates first. It takes a couple of minutes for them to be ready for the class discussion.
Solution: You can require them with journal every time they enter the class. You can also
have energizer related to your lesson before starting the class discussion for them to have an
enthusiasm.
5. Unmet Expectations As a teacher, you have expectations you set from your class.
Solution: You should ask your students what they expect to you and also tell them what do
you expect from them.
CONCLUSION

Conclusion Teachers will control or manage these problems to end or minimize the
problems.
HOW A TEACHER FUNCTION AS A MOTIVATOR?

One of the most difficult aspects of becoming a teacher is learning how to motivate your
students. It is also one of the most important. Students who are not motivated will not learn
effectively. They won’t retain information, they won’t participate and some of them may
even become disruptive. Motivated students are more excited to learn and participate.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TEACHER TO FUNCTION
AS A MOTIVATOR
1. Encouraging Students
students look to teachers for approval and positive reinforcement, and are more likely to be enthusiastic about
learning if they feel their work is recognized and valued.
2. Getting Students Involved
One way to encourage students and teach them responsibility is to get them involved in the classroom. Giving
students a sense of ownership allows them to feel accomplished and encourages active participation in class.
3. Giving Rewards
Offering students small rewards makes learning fun and motivates students to push themselves. Rewards like
recitation points give students a sense of accomplishment and encourage them to work with a goal in mind
.4. Getting Creative Teachers teach through activities like games and debate. They enrich
the subject matter with visual aids, like colorful charts, diagrams and videos.
5. Drawing Connections to Real Life Showing students that a subject is used everyday by
“real” people gives it new importance.
HINDRANCES AND SOLUTIONS

1. Struggle in Class and Curriculum Structure Children thrive when there is structure and
struggle when there is chaos.
Solution: To help students feel more secure, educators need to plan classes and curriculums.
2. Negative Personality If a student has a negative emotion such as fear or disliking towards
their teacher, that can negatively affect their attitude toward the subject as a whole.
Solution: Show kindness, optimism, positive feedback, and encouragement that can
positively affect students’ motivation to learn.
3. Teaching Methods Students in a single class are likely to have different styles of learning.
Solution: Teachers should use different teaching methods. Students have different teaching in
order for the students to retain their motivation in education.
4. Personal Problems of the Students Same as the lack of security in the classroom, the lack
of security at home can negatively impact motivation in education. Family conflicts and
disruption can result in poorer academic performance.
Solution: Teachers ask the students about their personal problems and then if there is, ask
them for a heart to heart talk whether with you or in the guidance counselor.
5. Peer Relationships and Favoritism Problems and conflicts with peers can make students
feel less secure about their social status among peers, increase their stress levels, and lower
motivation in education. And in favoritism, it can cause a negative effect on the students'
lives which can result to discouragement.
Solution: Teachers should keeping an eye on any conflicts, bullying, and other peer issues
can prevent serious problems. They should also treat the students equally to avoid the feeling
of jealousy and as a result, they will be motivated as they feel equality.
6. Too Serious Learning Environment Too many classes and learning environment that’s too
serious can also lower motivation in education.
Solution: Adding a fun element to classes can help to ease the atmosphere and improve
motivation and results.
CONCLUSION

A teacher cannot motivate the students alone, he or she also needs the cooperation of the
students.
