INTRODUCTION
Himalaya Baby Care is a renowned brand dedicated to providing gentle and natural
products for the well-being of babies and infants. Founded on the principles of Ayurveda,
Himalaya has been a trusted name in healthcare and personal care since its inception in
the early 1930s.The brand's journey into the baby care segment began in the late 1990s,
driven by a commitment to offering safe and effective solutions for parents seeking gentle
care for their little ones. Himalaya drug company has a clear vision to bring ayurveda to
society.
The history of the Himalaya Baby care brand dates back to the early 1930s when M
Manal, the founder of Himalaya, set out on a journey to bring the benefits of traditional
Ayurvedic herbs to society. The journey began with the launch of Liv.52, a liver
formulation based on Ayurvedic principles. Over the years, Himalaya expanded its
product portfolio to include a wide range of healthcare and personal care products .

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

◦ To know about Socio- economic profile of the respondents.

◦ To identify the customer satisfaction towards the Himalaya baby care products.

◦ To know the source of information in the purchase of Himalaya baby products.

◦ To determine fast moving product in Himalaya baby product.


RESEARCH DESIGN
◦ SAMPLE SIZE:
Totally 30 respondents have been taken and the data have been collected.
◦ SAMPLING AREA:
The area of study has been restricted to Jammu City.
◦ SAMPLING TECHNIQUE:
Snowball sampling technique was used.
◦ STATISTICAL TOOLS USED:
Simple statistical tools such as percentage, bar charts and pie chart employed for
the purpose of analysis of data.
MAJOR FINDINGS
Majority of the people of age are group 20-30 years i.e. 71%
Majority of the respondents are females i.e. 23 females.
Most of the respondents are graduate students i.e. 48.4%
Majority of the respondents are neither housewife nor professionals but they are others i.e. 38.7%
Majority of the respondents are used baby cream of Himalaya Baby Care Products i.e. 64.5%
Majority of the respondents are very satisfied with the Himalaya Baby Care Products i.e. 54.8%
Most of the respondents are influenced by Brand reputation to purchase Himalaya Baby Care Products i.e.
38.7%
Most of the respondents are exceeds and meets expectations in terms of performance of Himalaya Baby
Care Products i.e. 35.5%
Majority of the respondents are not faced any kind of skin problem or irritation after using Himalaya
Products i.e. 90.3%
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE STUDY
 Companies or producers have to do many researches regarding product development.

 Price is still a sensitive issue to them. So, the producers must justify its price.

 Many of respondents feel that maximum retail price of baby care products.

 Discounts offered to the customers can be increased.

 The models of bottles should be reinstated with latest design.

 Some products have allergic reactions on the baby skin so companies have to check its product many times before selling it in the

market.

 The company may directly contact the customers. It will help the company to increase their sales volume.

 The advertisement regarding Himalaya baby care product in newspapers and magazines are less. So, the company should try to

increase the advertisement in these medias.


LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
The study is confined to Jammu city only.

Only 30 respondents are taken for the study.

The study has applied convenience sampling method for data collection. Hence the results cannot be

generalized.

Time and financial resources are one of the major constraints.

Sample size is small .


CONCLUSION

Today market is a more customer oriented in the sense all the business operations revolve around
satisfying the customers by meeting their needs through effective service. The essence of
organization is the customer and not the product shall be the heart of the entire business system. The
success key in modem marketing is high consideration of customers. Manufactures produce different
kinds of products in order to sell them in the marketing. But selling the product in the market is not
an easy task. In modern time without market research and without understanding the market needs
and desire, it becomes difficult to sell the product. It is necessary to find the out needs of the
customers and satisfy them.
