PRESENTATION TITLE

INTRODUCTION

Turning plastic waste into plastic oil by pyrolysis is one of the

promising techniques to eradicate plastic waste pollution and
accelerate the circular economy of plastic materials. Plastic
waste is an attractive pyrolysis feedstock for plastic oil
production owing to its favorable chemical properties of
proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, and heating value other
than its abundant availability.

REALITY OF PLASTIC
 PLASTIC POLLUTION

Over the last ten years we have produced more plastic than
during the whole of the last century.
 50 percent of the plastic we use, we use just once and throw it away.
 Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the earth
four times
 Plastic constitutes approximately 90 percent of all trash floating on
the ocean’s surface
 It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade.
 Plastic chemicals can be absorbed by the body
 Nearly every piece of plastic EVER made still exists today.

 As we visited to Nagar Palika Dahod with the crave of acquiring
detailed survey of plastic waste collection in Dahod. As a result

we came to know that in Dahod and many city plastic is

collected in two ways.

1.DOOR TO DOOR GARBAGE COLLECTION.

2.GARBAGE COLLECTED BY SWEEPERS.

There are 18 garbage trucks, and 280 sweepers, 1 compactor

truck, 1vaccum truck, 2 loader tractors, 2 bulldozers, 1 water
tanker working in smart city project Dahod to make it garbage
free.

• After confronting with the Nagar Palika officers , we

found that Nagar Palika was collecting approximately

60 ton of plastic per day and out of which only 1
ton per day was plastic [RDF].

After the separation of 100mm garbage it is again being inspected. And the remaining plastic is

also collected and deposit to required space for further process.

The 100mm garbage which contains RDF is also sold to cement industry like JK SUPER and L&T.

• 30mm garbage separator:-

The remaining garbage is processed in 30mm separator. The garbage of 30mm is sold to paint
industry for run there boilers.

• 6mm garbage sesparator:-

The contain of plastic in this separation is almost 0 so the organic garbage is processed in crusher
to make fine particles from it to make compost out of the organic garbage.

• Steps to prepare: Collect coconut husk and store them in a clean place.

• After pulling out fibers, dry them. Then chop or cut them into small pieces with help of a good
pair of scissors or cutters. Grind them in a mixer grinder to a fine powder. The coco fiber will be
separated as fluff. Remove the fibers out of coco peat powder with the help of a sieve

• Manually remove the fibers from atop the sieve. You can use a good stainless steel soil sieve
This resultant peat should be washed with water to remove excess salts Soak the peat in water
for about an hour. Squeeze out excess water with hands.

• Dry it in direct sunlight for a day. Coco peat is ready to be used You can fill it in a planter and
start planting.
