Moto Front Sling

Have been looking on and off for a front sling since December 2023. I'd buy one, try it for a few days and return it. It was either quality, or eventual discomfort, or lack of storage, or lack of adjustment, or too small/big, or some sort of a combination of those. Bit the bullet on this one after a review was written on it on a tech website I frequent. I received it in two days from San Francisco to Central Florida. Nice to see Waterfield not skimping out on the shipping. Pulled it out and first thing I noticed, it's big. I wasn't a fan. Put it on empty and took it for a spin while riding with a motorcycle jacket. Instant 180 on my dislike for it. The instant dislike of its size was undone with its adjustments and, how it sits while riding complete negates its size. I then, put every EDC stuff I could fit in it and the size is very much worth it. It perfectly balances the weight of all my stuff in there. I'm talking all of it...phone, wallet, keys, passport, air pods, pen, notepad, battery bank, multi tool, 2 flashlights, turnicate, pocket knife, earbuds, tire plug kit, Glock (with trigger guard holster), extra mag, and a Twinkie (for bulk purposes. Mine and the bag's 😁). The size allows for more contact on the body. That allows for the weight to be more evenly distributed. After about 10 mins, I readjusted the strap and it's a ghost...I forgot I had it on.
Used it for the next two days without the motorcycle to carry the essential EDC (phone, wallet, keys, knife, gun, and mag) in it instead of in my pockets/waist. Qua-lit-y. This is where it shines IMO. The zippers are smooth and their teeth somehow disappear once closed. Opened and closed it constantly for those two days even to put the phone in and out every few minutes while running errands and not a fray or even a mark anywhere around it. The little dirt here and there was done away with a wet wipe.
The magnet clip...standing ovation. Seems like one of those simple things to the end user after it's done. But, I imagine there were a team of engineers tinkering with it for a way too long time to get it perfect. It's incredible how much it's used and I cannot think of using another sling bag without it.
Bottom line, quality costs money. And this sling bag is worth its price. Plus, the added perk that it's going to American workers in an American company based in a classic American city. When's the last time you bought something where that was the case? Highly recommended and major props to Waterfield and the team for nailing a sling bag for this picky buyer.

I’ve been using this sling for almost two years now, and I must say, it has met just about every expectation I had. It’s the only sling I’ve tried doesn’t constantly slide around my body. That’s due to the grippy rubber on the shoulder pads. The pockets have worked phenomenally for my needs. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen any reviews thus far. This is leading me to believe I should make one for this bag, so as to get the word out, because people have no idea what they’re missing. It was a bit larger looking than I expected, and a bit on the smaller expensive side, but overall it’s an amazing bag; even if you don’t use it while riding a motorcycle, because I don’t.

Well, I haven’t purchased a motorcycle yet. In any case, I primarily purchased this sling bag for my EDC and for traveling. It holds everything that I must have on me: from my Leatherman, wallet, cell phone, reading glasses, headphones, etc. and still has room to conveniently carry additional items needed when traveling.
Took a while to find the right sling bag – you can’t go wrong with the MOTO SLING! The build quality, both inside and out, is excellent! The magnetic quick release buckle is one of my favorite features on this sling bag!

I recently picked up this sling bag that’s specifically designed to be worn in the front. It’s not your typical sling that you slide to your back; this one’s all about that front-facing style. I picked the ballistic nylon with the black full grain leather accent, it looks really sharp.
Design and Features
The bag’s design is super thoughtful, especially when it comes to the compartments. It has two main ones:
Front Compartment:
A slot for my iPhone.
Two pockets for my wallet and keys.
Extra space where I can toss in some cash and coins when I’m in a rush.
Main (Middle) Compartment:
Four pockets: two on the front side and two on the back side.
Roomy enough to fit my iPad mini 6.
Space for my two charging cables (one for my iPhone and one Type-C for my iPad).
My power bank, coin pouch, and sometimes my hand sanitizer or face mask.
The middle space can even fit a 12-ounce water bottle.
Practicality
While this bag is geared towards motorcycle or scooter riders, it’s perfect for my bicycle rides and works great as a regular sling bag too. It’s versatile enough for just walking around as well. I genuinely think it’s the best sling bag they’ve made. They have another version, but this one’s design stands out more to me.
When I Use It
I reach for this bag when:
I need to carry both my iPad and iPhone, plus charging peripherals.
I’m heading out for a day-long trip and need my essentials.
I want a little extra space for small purchases.
I feel like showing off a bit because it looks so stylish!
Personal Touches
To make it more my own, I’ve decorated the bag with charms that match its aesthetic. I’ve got a cute bowl of ramen charm and a tribal shield charm from Coron, Palawan. These little touches highlight my love for ramen and travel, making the bag even more special to me.
